  1. Health Insurance is a must. On April 29, HH60 Jayhawk helicopters from the US Coast Guard Sector San Diego evacuated four passengers from three cruse ships. Not bad for one nights flying. You'll never know when you'll require medica assistance.
  2. Apparently NCL had ben set to start SD departures for the Fall to Spring season. That plan has been cancelled.
  3. Rumored in San Diego. Does anyone know if it is true. No memtion on the NCL web page.
  4. Sorry for the acronym. HIA is Holland America's "Have it All" promotional package which includes one of their Beverage packages at a disount.
  5. Everyone gets Marshmallow Peeps with their dessert.
  6. I eliminated by carbon footprint when I stopped wearig carbon shoes.
  7. How did it turn out? Any tips for another SD - Mexico cruiser?
  8. Dog in an opened handbag? Welcome to Dogs as a Fashion Accessory.
  9. Could be. Maybe there is a Canadian immigration expert or attorney who sees this and can sort it out.
  10. Thank you. Sounds like your know the procedure. I just checked the itinerary and the RT Seattle cruise stops in Victoria at 9 PM on the last night of the return leg to Seattle. The ship leaves 4 hours later and arrives in Seattle at 7 AM. I guess the Victoria stop is only to let CBSA staff aboard to take take care of CBSA formalities. At that point, since passengers would not be disembarking, whether they are cleared to disembark or not, there shouldn't be much of an issue. On the contrary, if the Victoria stop was scheduled as an 8-12 hour stop with passengers disembarking, not being "cleared to disembark" by CBSA would only result in the passenger remaining aboard the ship during the port call. Is that correct? Am I missing something?
  11. May be taking an Alaska cruise, RT from Seattle. Since we do not enter Canada, do we bypass Canadian customs or have a "meet and greet" with them later in the cruise? THanks
  12. I'm looking at Konigsdam Neptune Suites for a January Mexican Riviera cruise. First time cruiser. What is more preferable; Deck 7, midship port side, #7086, (directly across from the Neptune lounge), or starboard #7117, aft of the elevator banks? That's the last Neptune suite before the Signature suites. Thanks
  13. Am considering some HAL Alaska cruises, RT from Seattle. Since those cruises depart and arrive from Seattle, do they bypass Canadian immigration/customs entirely, or do we have a "meet and greet" with Canadian officials during one of the cruise stops? Thanks
