I have well controlled type 2 diabetes. How would they know?
Ditto for my husband. Oral meds only. We would not disclose it on the form. ALso, Type 2 is not considered autoimmune - just type 1.

Bottomless bubbles is on a person by person basis. No rules.

We cruised on the Pride with my 16 year old, 6 ft son and he was just fine in the couch-turned-bed. My younger daughter used the murphy pull down from the ceiling above the couch.

We are Canadian as well. We did buy some through our Carnival PA just in case my elderly MIL was not able to make the trip - very reasonable.
But our credit card we booked with also provided some as well. I have to assume you are wondering what would happen if one of your family got sick and had to cancel? Credit card insurance should cover that. If Carnival cancels, they would re-emburse you.

Where there is a pullman, there is a sofa bed. The pullmans are designed for the 4th person. However there is not always a pullman AND a sofa bed. These are limited on any ship. Your PA will tell you which rooms have the pullman. This is what Carnival told me. I assume if you have a room with both, you can just utilze the pullman.
The sofabeds are quite comfy. I didnt find them small at all.

We just did this. We have two cabins split between 5 people. 2 children in total. There is really only one adult in the group who wants the package - my husband. We just called CArnival yesterday and asked them to re-arrange the cabins to have the one adult in a cabin with the kids so they could buy the drink package. She was more than happy to make the name changes on paper so that my husband could order the package prior to boarding. Worked out great.

We brought cheap blow-up floats.
We used them in Belize to snorkel.
Boy was it nice not to have to swim.
Just plant your head in the water, kick, and enjoy!
Then we gave them to local kids.
We do this every cruise!

Hi All,
We are flying into San Fran the evening before our cruise to HI in April. Since we are only resting our heads before we head to the port in the morning, can anyone suggest a hotel that will not break the bank that is close-ish to the pier? We would most likley Uber there directly from the airport.
thanks!

I remember reading somewhere that the weight limit for one of those was a generous adult. It is somewhere on the site...

This is exactly how ours was on the Pride. It was never in the way at all. Worst case we took the ladder off and stored it inthe closet. The kids loved it.

There is also a bunk in some rooms that pulls down from the ceiling to make the sofa "bunk beds". The top bunk has rails that I believe are detachable. I am sure they can be put into the day bed for added safety.

We are booked on the Miracle in April 2020 for the Hawaii Jouney cruise. Not worried. You have to take all reviews with a grain of salt as they are people's opinions. Besides, she has a drydock scheduled for next February and any upgrades are added bonuses! Can't wait!!

We have a sailing on the Miracle in April of next year and I have already booked the Chef's Table. It was a request through the website and I did receive confirmation back.

We are big fans of the Pride. Been on her 3 times - most recent was last year. We drive in from Toronto each time. For us it is the perfect size. Never over crowded, no huge lines. Great food choices, awesome shows. You cannot beat Grand Turk and HMC - as seems to be the common response. Internet was dodgy, but makes no difference to us.

Sailing Miracle to Hawaii in April next year and heard she is getting Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana in the Upgrade in Feb 2020. Crossing Fingers!

We were just on the Pride last week and they still do Muster outside on deck. We had two elderly people - stuck way in the back - just about passed out. The entire group was waving frantically to get the attention of the staff. There at least needs to be concessions for the elderly. It was ridiculous.

Our itinerary on the Pride - leaving OCt 8 - switched from GT to Nassau. As of today, still going to Nassau. I have not heard that GT is open cruise ships as of yet.

Is it cool in Canada? Because I would love to go to Canada if it's less than 90° and 95% humidity. I'm tired of heat and humidity, and palm trees have never been known for their shade factor. :D
In October in will be cool. Definitely a light jacket needed. Not beach weather. If you are looking to see a change of seasons and beautiful colours....head to Canada in October.

So excited!!!
However exciting cruising to Canada might be, I don't want to be driving to Baltimore from CANADA only to be cruising back home. There are no palm trees in Canada.#Happydance!!

We made the "mistake" of not putting a restriction or limit on the kids S&S card. My then 8 year old headed to the arcade for a few minutes while we were trying to pack up (i/s cabin was getting a little cramped with suitcases out). Her brother was not paying much attention to what she was doing while they were both in the arcade. About 45 min later she come back with these earrings (picture cheap dangly junk jewelry) that she said he won. Hmmmm..... Fast forward to later that night when we went to get a print out of the cabin charges at guest services; 2 pages of drinks and miscellaneous purchases - 5 PAGES OF ARCADE CHARGES!! That must be some record in 45 min.
Anyway, we are currently talking about what restrictions will go on - the now 11yr old's - S&S card. I do still have the earrings. :)

We sailed the Pride for the first time back in 2012 as well, and we fell in love! We are booked again in October - exact same itinerary - and can't wait to see her 2.0 upgrades. Since 2012 we have sailed Norwegian and other Carnival ships but missed the Pride!

Hi neighbor! We're driving back to Buffalo, the sailing on the 8th.
Right back at you, Neighbour!

I am pretty sure the Pride arrives back in Baltimore at 10:00am now - a recent change from 9:00am.
Hampton Inn Brickell - Shuttle to the Port of Miami?
in Florida Departures
Posted · Edited by Luv2Cruze4
Hi All,
Thinking about booking this hotel for our pre-cruise in late August. I am seeing it is getting a lot of great reviews. The only one bit of info I couldn't find is if this hotel has a shuttle that will take guests to the port the morniing of their cruise. Just wanted to know the answer before I call and make the reservation.
thanks!
