  1. A nice bonus was to have our boarding passes delivered to the room. My 78 year old mom was a little resistant to use the service but really felt it was a great value. It really took the sting out of the worst part of getting from ship to plane.

  2. Yes present the letter to the casino. If the $25 dollars comes with the booking then it will appear online with your booking and you will need to print it out,. For the letter you receive the night before disembark i believe you have seven months to book and use it.

  3. I agree Princess would benefit from having a priest on board. My mom has fond memories of the priest on a HAL cruise and many passengers were disappointed mass was not available on a recent Princess cruise.

  4. The crowd tends to be older for sure. I took the full transit island princess which was built specifically for the canal. I can say I would have been disappointed with a partial transit since going ocean to ocean gives you a different experience. Despite the demographics I am sure you would still have a good time on princess.

  5. My choice is Bonine once a day and a second one a day if I feel too much motion. I travelled the drake passage with 30 feet swells on a scopamine patch and a Bonine booster just fine. So if you just take one tablet and up the dosage if you feel motion you should do fine.

  6. This is a great post. I was also once amazed at how well princess seamlessly worked with local authorities to do everything possible to get passengers to the ship even though it was due to a late plane. The logistics employed by HAL and princess by ground personnel during this tragic event were truly amazing. It really shows how much goes on behind the scenes to create a quality customer experience regardless of the circumstances.

  7. Interesting - I did notice players with over 1500 points getting a lot of attention. I thought they were at least getting drinks. I only had about 640 points so didn't expect anything. I agree it would be helpful to be a little more transparent to players.

  8. There is a separate mailing you can sign up for - drop and sail - there have been some good threads on here that all indicate princess is good at maintaining price integrity. I am good with that as a shareholder - I am also good with the extra OBC a shareholder receives.

  9. There seem to be a number of factors- is the cruise unique? I just booked 3 for free for Tasmania in 2018. The same cruise is 250 more with no offers. The cruises I see that go down the most occur for different reasons - time of year - although the cruise I booked six months ago for December 5th for the Panama Canal has not gone down, terrorist threats - the Mediterranean was a steal this summer on regal, other black swan events such as natural disasters, economic jolts or health scares. So it really depends on your flexibility and ability to take advantage of sudden opportunities. It also depends on what cabin you want. Clearly there are last minute deals and there are also times when the early birds gets the worm - play it according to your flexibility and risk tolerance and what you hope to achieve and you can't go wrong.
