any guesses when the next sale might be-waiting to book because i’m not liking the current sale offerings?
-
we’re not so much interested in the pool, but more about the comparison of rooms on each ship and the overall condition —-which is fresher or tired looking—-thx!
-
We cant decide between the 2 ships. Whether it sails out of LA or SF isn't a big deal, but also can’t decide on balcony or interior....would appreciate input from others on condition of the ships and room sizes—-thanks!

we are new to HAL....packing for alaska and want to keep it to a minimum...we love fixed seating, but DH only has room for a black turtleneck and dress pants for formal nights...will we be turned away from the main dining room and sent to the buffet?
-
the rib boats into the smaller fjords was absolutely amazing-only 8 in a boat and you get to go farther into out of the way tiny villages and are up close to both land and water wildlife—-pricey but worth every $$$
-
best time to do laundry is dinnertime on the last night of your first leg of the b2b—-empty
-
absolutely NOTHING——was so disapppointed! just another one of princess’ s cheap cost cutting measures—-i am ready to find another cruise line—-do they really think some of us won’t start jumping ship if this stuff continues!
-
majestic last spring——absolutely no extra perks-not even an extra pillow candy-disappointing to say the least—-crew seemed a little jumpy
-
are we really discussing the inability to adapt to fixed seating? best cruise ever was 60 days on the pacific princess with the same 8 people every night...absolutely nothing in common but we closed down the dining room EVERY night and even had other diners and wait staff stopping by to join in our conversations...guess what——when you step out of your comfort box you can learn alot...especially when everyone is from a different country, religion, age, and background...be thankful!

late august was jeans and jackets for night-waters were normal cruising-some days calm others more windy but none were huge waves-couple days of light rain-cruise was great ports-no difference to side of ship except in rotterdam where port side had better views-would do this cruise again in a heartbeat!

have used ez-air 9 times-each time has been a different experience-some airlines have your schedules immediately after booking them and others dont show up until 30 days before your flight-sometimes your schedule changes 5-6 times before AND after final payment to princess...last april we had a $1000 price drop after final payment was made. we changed our flights through ez-air and princess refunded the money back to our credit card immediately AND the flights were at a better time than our previous ones....i constantly check ez-air for prices and times right up til we leave home and it usually works in our favor!

only medicare plan F covers travel -but not outisde of the US -most people dont pay for plan F because it is about $100 more a month and only covers up to $30k-also virtually no docs outside the US are medicare approved-if you can afford to cruise just pay the insurance and stop worrying-enjoy your vacation!
-
OMG-buy the insurance (any insurance) be thankful if you dont have to use it-we were both in perfect health and much younger than most of the passengers-but accidents happen and we found that out the hard way-never leave home without a credit card with a least $15k in an open limit account-you have to pay for everything up front and then be reimbursed

be very careful about your private rome shuttle-
first trip to rome used princess-no problems
2nd time used private and our "private" car dropped us off twice with our luggage to "wait" for another "private" car----took 3 hours to get to rome---this "private car" was through our TA (have talked to 2 other people who have had similar experiences)
3rd time was back to princess-ilraly has it's own time schedule so remember that when booking privatelly
enjoy your time there-you will love it!

i have looked at the msc cruises but the reviews are not very good
-
i would book the coral just to be on dining room with carlos da rosa again-he is so personable-my husband and i have sailed with him twice and found him to be most gracious!
-
nice but highly over-rated..spend your $$ on one of the specialty restaurants
-
after frying probably 5 devices (slow learner;p) i just started buying cheap ones at the airport when we land....leaving them for the hotel staff when we board our cruuse
-
we have always sailed with princess, but are wanting to try other lines to add some variety...are there any other cruise lines that will give us credit for princess days toward their upper levels ( not wanting to give up all the points/perks that we get with our princess status) ?
-
we did club class on our last cruise-pretty much just $$ to say you were in club class if you are already platinum or elite-emperor's new clothes comes to mind;)
-
last year my husband had a medical emergency on board and due to weather he could not be evacuated and we were 3 days to port-i know you are concerned about your husband, but from the spouse's stand point you need to be confident you can handle all that is involved (and there is alot of stress on you!) to make ALL the decisions and coordinate emergency travel arrangements-you MUST have insurance, but you will also have to pay for everything up front so you will need a minimum of 30K of credit on your credit cards. each ship is VERY different as to their ability to deal with each incident-we got great medical care but absolutely NO help in making travel arrangements back home despite having princess insurance-and good lluck trying to rebook on their slow internet! i've delt with some very high power stressful situations in my lifetime and am usually calm under stress, but this situation pushed me to the max----with that said, you certainly can't live you life worrying over something that may never happen-just wanted you to have info to make your decision-good luck to you both!
-
we have done 2 b2b and they were booked identically-we lost our internet minutes on one cruise and they carried over on the other
disembarked totally and then got back on board on one cruise and never had to get off the ship on the other cruise-we heard that it depends on the port
-
did club class on the majestic in april-except for immediate seating, wasn't impressed-emperor's new clothes?
