When you go to the MDR, could you ask for me if a 14 year old HAS to eat from the kids menu or if it is okay if he orders from the normal ‚Adult‘ menu? Good morning! as you have seen you saw nothing yesterday! Despite me trying repeatedly to post it didn’t work… MSCs IT department seemed not to have yet recovered from their cruise… here a ‚quick‘ recap of yesterday: i went to the YC cocktail event thing. There was live music but Nadja that played very good. i started with a MSC signature Martini. Was nice but not really MY taste. Changed to Champagne after that. Snacks and little things were standing on the tables already. it was quite full! But still very nice. Not ‚Crowded‘ but then… when is the YC ever? then the introduction of the YC staff happened. Here you see Giovanni the Matre D of the YC restaurant and the woman on the stairs behind him is Jubelee my lovely waitress. here you have the BEST butler of all times! My beloved little Chrispine!!! God, I love her… and she is so cuuuuuute! All the other butlers are about twice her size and still she is the tuffest and most fun! after the event I went out to the Horizon bar that was for once not tooooo windy and had a: Miami Vice! Can’t belive that it was the first on this trip… from there I went to lunch at the buffet. First it was pretty empty there and then BAM! Full from one second to the other! as you see I had quite the selection… I have to say though that yesterday was the first time that I was disappointed with the food at the buffet. everything was either undercooked or not seasoned well… the pasta with bacon in the bowl was eaven greasy… how ever they manschend THAT… after Lunch I got stuck in the smoking room for an hour before I went to my cabin and took a nap. I did set an alarm because I had to get ready for: i had planned to curl my hair… my hair had other plans though and just didn’t want to ringle… no matter how hard I tried. Because I didn’t want to burn it off of my head I gave up at some point and instead took an hour to put war paint on. and then it was time already for Dinner! my starter: the Shrimp cocktail! Not much that you can do wrong with that. Love the Jalapeño on it. Gives it a nice kick. And yes… be proud… I even ate the weird green stuff the shrimp lay on top… apparently it’s called Salad… still not sure if I liked that stuff… then I had as main: Lobster! it was really good! Not overcooked, not undercooked and seasoned very well! as Second main: ANOTHER Lobster tail… just because I can… AND FOR the same reason and because my lovely table mate never had lobster before and didn’t like it… i had two MORE… so 4 in total… can’t let them go to waist… as dessert we had: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN JANA!!!!! Great Vanilla cake! It was so cute that they decorated it with Macaroons for her because she likes them a lot. after Dinner I got stuck in the smoking room again. Everyone was in high spirits and it was a lot of fun! Remember the naked guy and his friends from a few days ago? First I just had a date with one of them to go out eat… now we are 8 people for that date 😂🤣😂 we will go to Teppanjaki on Sunday. at 1:30 in the morning I swayed back to my room and practically passed out… Perfect Seaday in my Opinion!

Oh he wore it underneath his white Jacket! i think the little one was a bit cold… poor thing… hasn’t figured out yet that he could put on the sweater OVER his jacket… Mommy hasn’t told him when she laid out the clothes for him in the morning…

Dinner time! my starters! Crab cake! Said it before! Best crab cake I ever had on a cruise ship! No difference on Bellissima ! then I had: the Beef tartar! also very good! Did not have to complain that it was too ‘grainy’! the main: the prime rib! Tasty and roasted to perfection! Could have been cut thicker. Taste wise no complaints though. and today I DID desert: the cheese selection! great cheeses! not sure what that other stuff on that plate is though… Jubelee my waiter called them ‘Grapes’, ‘Blueberries’, ‘raisins’ and other things… i eat adventurous and Exotic… but not THAT exotic… 😂

Apparently we are going from KIDS I. The smoking room to… beeing NAKED in the smoking room… REALLY? 😑🤣 at least Salvatore and his friends are hilarious 😂🤣😂

Ha! Till the end of my trip I will probably have made enough food pictures for you to book a cruise for NEXT MONTH! 😂 and for the situation in the smoking room?…

Lunch at the buffet you won’t belive it! THERE WAS SOMETHING ON THE BUFFET I NEVER HAD BEFORE ON MSC!!!! They had fried Artichokes at the Vegetarian section. On the photo I already ate them but MAAAN they were good!!! The rest was also really tasty. The Stier fried beef was veeeery tender.

😂 would explain why their website is constantly not working if the ENTIRE IT department was sitting in the smoking room of the Belissima and fighting with the internet connection like I do… or were to occupied with Instagram, TikTok and what else is out there…

Some impressions from Napoli, Naples, Neapel… pick your language… i was down there for about an hour. Ran around like a headless chicken. Almost got mowed over by a Scooter and then fought my way back to the ship through the gazillion taxi drivers trying to bring me to the Vesuv. Guys… be happy if it doesn’t erupt while I am that close to it… with my luck we have a Pompeii situation here before dinner…

They are GONE!!! They are gone… finally… I can take a nap in the smoking room again…

Just coming into Napoli! kids are AGAIN sitting in the smoking room… but with luggage!!! everyone is praying that it’s just another hour until they are gone and not just their dipper bags for an excursion.

Since the internet here hates me I couldn’t log on and post yesterday as soon as we were out of port… so you just get yesterdays dinner today! it was Mediterranean night! So I threw on my crazy pants and went to the YC restaurant. Yesterday I was joined by a fellow traveler, the lovely Jana, and we had a great dinner! my starter: the mixed seafood: Look at that portion!!! It was easily like three times the size I got on the other MSC Ships! It was very good though so… definitely NOT complaining!!! the second starter: the builiabaise <- I totally misspelled that… you still get what I mean… was VERY good too. You can’t see it on the photo but it had a massive amount of seafood and fish inside. Very tasty and seasoned perfectly! the main: the paella: also not bad. Could have been seasoned a liiiiitttle bit more but overal a solid job! i skipped desert… boat is a bit rocky again. who am I kidding we were slapped around like a ping pong ball for a bit!!!! i ended up taking refuge in the smoking room with Jana, some cocktails and we had fun just talking and watching the teenies getting thrown out of the room… repeatedly…

They are on a school trip and the teacher doesn’t care a dime about what they are doing… But fingers crossed! They are supposed to disembark in Napoli!

The DRAMA of the smoking room part: the continuation! the room was once again CLOGGED with teens! Since lunch! At 17:30 the Diamond party started in the sky lounge and since the smoking room is part of the sky lounge… well. Securety came and almost started to cry when they saw the state of the room. cigarette butts everywhere. Ash all over the carpet. I don’t have a clue what they spilled on the couches… seriously… I don’t…
