1. Another hijacker! Lol! Anyone know when they are on the Eastern leg of the Caribbean on Freedom of the Seas.

Also, how formal is formal? Seriously, does my husband need a suit or can he wear smart shirt and trousers? Help!!

I am struggling with the formal nights too….only because my wife loves lobster night…lol.

I really don’t want to bring a suit…I am considering a button down shirt (maybe a tie) and sport coat…but I would love to ditch the sport coat…lol

  2. Thanks Yorkvillain. If anyone wants to see some of my Anthem scopes check out the replays at Katch.me/kcjarvis

Thanks...how do you save a scope out to Katch.me?

Does it only save it there for a certain time?

    Thanks for the info

  3. You only need to select the package for one person. When you get onboard, there will be instructions on how to set up the internet. You can share the password/information between two devices.

yes but at $15 p/p for 7 days is $105...so don't I add the second person...or just select myself and then they add the second person on their end?...Thx for the help.

  4. My portable clothes steamer was held in "the naughty room". Had to hear the lecture before they released my bag and then another lecture when I went to get it back on the last day. Won't do THAT again! :)

I have wondered about the travel steamers....I read that they are on the list but I don't get why those are not allowed but hair straighteners and curling irons are....they seem like a larger potential for a fire than a streamer.

  5. We LOVED this cabin. I was trying for the corner in 1700 or 1400, but it was taken. Regardless, we were very happy with this room. So much so, we booked a comparable cabin on Adventure for next January. Our prior cruise, we had adjoining promenade rooms, and I was worried about only one bathroom, one closet, etc. But it worked out fine with being organized. This room is longer than the other balcony rooms, and had 2 extra night stands (4 total.) That helped with storage and less feeling cramped. I thought the walk aft would be really bad, but it was fine. And the balcony was amazing! I'll post some pics (excuse messy cabin). Let me know if specific questions! Thanks for posting the pictures. The room looks great

Did you notice much noise from the Windjammer above?

Was there noticeable motion being on the back of the ship?...Most times if we had a balcony it was more mid ship.

Did you have lounge chairs or did you have to request them?

    Thanks again for the info.

  6. We did a tour with Bernard's Tours. One of the stops was Maho Beach (airport beach). We stayed about an hour, he timed it so we would be there when the BIG planes came in. Other stops included an iguana farm (he fed them so there were hundreds coming out to greet us), a beach stop (90 mins on the family-friendly end of Orient Beach), Marigot to eat and shop (French side, everyone went to Saraphina's), another stop with sea creatures to see and hold.

I mention all this because it was very kid-friendly. Lots of stops to keep them interested. Maho Beach at the airport was super crowded the day we were there and from recent pictures and reviews it looks as though the already small beach has eroded immensely. It is not a beach to play in the water or sit in the sand.

There were also a lot of traffic jams on our return, which our driver was able to get around and get us back in time. We had a lot of pier runners that day!

Definitely, get some other opinions but I just wanted to share our experience.

Maho is a must-see! We loved St. Martin!

That's my fear with not booking thru the cruise line...not making it back in time...we are considering Bernard's Tours for our upcoming cruise in April..have read good things

  7. We were in 1702 last year, right above that room. If we were standing at our railing, we could probably see the very front 1/4 to 1/3 (estimate) of the balcony. If you were on the back part of the balcony, you couldn't be seen

Hi...we are in 1702 in April (family of 4) and would love to get your take on the room, balcony, location and overall thoughts if you could.

Its our first aft balcony and our son (12) first cruise ever.

    Thanks for sharing.

  8. A few more...

Thank you so much for the pics....they are great...looking forward to the cabin now.

I have read that its alittle bit of a walk from the elevators...what did you think?

Also any vibrations from the engines or excessive motion?

We are traveling with a child as well.

    Thanks again.

  9. Hi everyone,

We just booked our first aft balcony. We will be sailing on Freedom...cabin 1702....(have had port and star before)

From everything I have read they seem really popular and go quick so we are excited to try it out.

My wife was set on a normal balcony so I hope I made the right choice...or this may be my last cruise...haha
