I am looking for some expertise from the group here. We are sailing on Oct. 18th on the Viking Sun Italian Sojourn with a two day extension in Rome. Air and transfers are all done by Viking. We had arrange a tour of the Colosseum Dungeons Tour with "the Roman Guy" on the afternoon of our arrival day in Rome. I just got an email saying the time has been changed to 12:50 at the Colosseum. I was told that Viking books the hotel at The Grand Hotel Palace but I have not received any information from Viking about that. This is our first time in Rome. The questions : #1 What time can we leave the ship on the last day with Viking doing the transfers? #2 What time can we reasonably expect to arrive at our hotel? #3 Is the hotel still the Grand Hotel Palace? #4 Can we make it to the Colosseum by 12:30ish? What is the best way to get from the hotel to the Colosseum?

Adventure gal, I have been fishing in Canada for a couple of weeks, but my wife and sister were able to book the tour so we will see you there.

Mine was the misdated roll call... I was thinking the day we leave rather than the day the cruise starts. We also are using Viking air. We had a surprise this week. We had an American air reservation. Then if disappeared. I looked on the American airline site and the flight have changed so now we are in limbo. I'm sure they will figure it out. We leave from Minneapolis/St Paul. Excited for the trip.

In October my wife and I along with my wonderful sister and her husband (she'll read this), are taking the Italian Sojourn Cruise. We booked it separately, but with the same Viking agent, Juan, and he knew we were traveling together. We are having Viking do the air also and flying out of Minneapolis, Mn. I am assuming the air will be together but how do we get our excursions and dining arrangements linked? Thanks in advance for your expertise.

In October we are taking the Viking Sun Italian Sojourn cruise and I am wondering where does the ship dock for the Naples stop? I am thinking of hiring a driver to do the Amalfi Coast.
