And now, the banner is gone completely.  I'm glad I didn't wait on this and acted quickly.

I just booked a trip for 2020. The banner was gone but I stil got the perks. So, for now the promo is still available.

We did it a few years back on the Veendam.  It was great!  Meet some really nice people who we have cruises with a few more times.  The big plus is we live outside of Boston so it’s a stress free vacation, no flying.

If it was the 2014 cruise in the Veendam that’s the one I was on too. 😊 I’d love to go again and have been eying that itinerary.

My understanding is that it includes the drink package and a PG dinner.  Depending on cabin category some OBC.

I was looking at a historic coast cruise in August 2020 when I caught the change.  I’m hoping to book that one.

A side note, we did the Historic Coast cruise a few years back and loved it! It was a favorite.

DH and I spent 42 days in an Lanai cabin on Rotterdam going round trip Ft. Lauderdale Med. and back to Ft. Lauderdale.  We loved the Lanai.  In fact we liked it more than the balcony we had on our last long cruise (30 days to Hawaii/ Tahiti)  It is awesome.  So convenient and we loved to be able to walk right out to the Promenade and take those shots everyone wants.  We would not hesitate to book another on a longer cruise!

I have been in a lanai on 3 different cruises. I also prefer it to balancing rooms now. I like having direct access to the promenade and find that I spend more time out and about with the lanai room than I did with the balcony.

I’m currently booked on HAL for this itinerary for mid-May. I would love to hear from anyone who has cruised a similar itinerary at the same time of year.  Is this a good time to see spring blooms?  What is the weather like?  I have also posted this on the HAL board. Thanks!

Did you get any advice on the HAL board? I’m also going on one of the earlier cruises and am curious.

  6. My very first cruise booking was for a 3 day round trip Seattle. It had a stop in Victoria and another in Vancouver before heading back to Seattle. I booked this cruise to test if we’d like cruising. Well, about a month before departure I received an email that the cruise was overbooked. The perks to give up my cabin were great. I received a 7 day cruise of my choosing to anywhere HAL cruised. Since I live close to Seattle it was an quick yes to change to a different cruise. So, I’m another example of the fact that cruise lines do indeed over book cruises.

  7. These Canada New England cruises for 2020 are not sold out.  I’ve contacted HAL 3 times to let them know the website is glitching and won’t allow bookings. You can call and book direct or book thru another TA site. It’s very frustrating that two weeks after my initial inquiry it’s still not fixed.

As as for Grand Asia tour, I’m not sure. But St Pete Cruiser has given a great idea of what might be up next on the itinerary after Canada New England.

  8. I have been looking at the Canada New England cruises for 2020 on the Amsterdam. It’ll let me see prices but it won’t go any further to make a booking. I called HAL about this a few days back and the rep told me to use Google Chrome instead of Safari. I’m still having the same problem no matter which browser I’m in.
