  1. Agreed, which one is worst? I've stopped reading about drones/butter pats week or so ago and now leaving this thread.

Most people here think they represent all on board IMO, here's the real story on that, let's say the Regal is completely full at about 3600 people, out of that there maybe 100-200 CC members, benefit of the doubt, the rest of the passengers may not even have a clue what Cruise Critic is and are enjoying their cruise to the fullest.

I was probably on my 7th cruise when I found out about CC and have to say it's cheap/funny entertainment when I'm bored. I do like adding my comments once in awhile but have to refrain from most I want to post because of such narrow mindlessness on this page........................keep posting so I can LMAO reading about the next absurd subject matter.

Al its good for is entertainment - you will never get a straight answer for anything, just opinions, guesses, people pushing their private agenda, or people posting just to start a confrontation

  2. s I mentioned Princess will deduct the non-refundable for any purchases incl sp rest and casino - at one time you could get an advance of cash on your card from your account in the casino, use some, then cash it in for cash??

  3. Celebrity - first time I ate salmon made from sawdust - turned back seven dinners in seven days - lost about 5 pounds - he only salvation was we had 14 days on Princess right after disembarkation from the celebrity - I guess food quality is subjective and this is my subjective opinion

  4. We’re sailing on Oceania next year. From what I’ve read, Oceania is a luxury cruise line, and classier than Princess. They have no Formal Night dress code. They have no Formal Nights.

    From the Oceania website:

    “Country Club Casual

Feel at Home Away from Home

Isn’t it wonderful to feel welcome and comfortable when traveling? It makes the experience so much more enjoyable and encourages you to mingle with shipmates and to fully explore your ship and the exciting destinations visited. We have carefully selected the rich color and texture of every fabric, the vibrant glow of every sconce and the plush cushion of each settee, designing each detail so that our ships naturally exude a warm, inviting ambiance imbuing everyone on board with a sense of elegance and comfort. You are instantly put at ease, and it’s so refreshingly casual and friendly that it’s like being in your own private country club where everyone knows your name.

Come and Go as You Please

This is elegance without pretense nor the need for tuxedos and evening gowns. “

Good for you - makes more cabins available on Princess

  5. Not that I disagree with you, but that is certainly your opinion and your interpretation of the rules. What you posted are definitely not the rules.

Another troll to add to my ignore list. Why are so many CC ers trying to push a downdress agenda for a classy cruiseline like Princess - if you want to dress like a street person go with Carnival. Not sure they will let you bring your shopping cart

  6. The plush robes are reserved for full suite guests - I think they give them out with the $100 plus Captains Dinner or whatever they call it or you can buy them - I have no problem with the waffle weave but then I am average for my height and usuall only eat three meals a day plus a few snacks and have never gained more than three pounds on a cruise - the secret is you do not have to eat 24/7 just because it is there

  7. He's one of the posters who goes in for casual. We don't always agree on much, but we're usually pretty polite about it. I have to give him credit on the "What to pack" section. It does contradict the usual dress code. Not saying I agree with it, but it's there. He likes his Guayabera shirt. It takes the right person to pull it off. I presume it looks good on him. If he has a Panama straw hat to go with it, I'd say it would look pretty cool.

floridalover has an agenda too try to influence Princess to lower their dress standards to what he thinks it should be by posting on CC - he is one voice among thousands and has a few followers. He is very adamant that Princess does not have a formal dress code but fails to read the entire section. I agree that some ships allow dressing down and I have been assured by the president that they will be addressing this. In the meantime I have him on my ignore list so I don't have to read his nonsense.

  8. Get ready for a bunch of people to tell you "no" and a bunch of people to tell you "yes". The subject of attire in the MDR is one of the most contentious on this board.

My personal opinion is that a button up shirt is more appropriate for dinner in the MDR. Will your husband be turned away if he arrives in a t-shirt as described? Who knows. Maybe, maybe not. Seems to depend on how seriously the dining team on any given ship takes the dress code.

Tee shirts OK at breakfast and Lunch but not at dinner unless worn under a collared shirt

  9. No it's been given on "***** preview cruises" ....on our preview cruise ***** is being tested by a select group of passengers only and this enhanced wifi perk is being offered...unlimited internet for platinum and elite and reduced rate for others

will 526 days on princess make me select?
