$1050 OBC for a 14 day cruise and complaining about a $11 increase in the AIBP and they give him $300 more OBC - I would be thankful for all that. Looks like they got him for the cruise - $10K for a 14 day cruise - something sounds fishy here
-
What do you consider a bargain?
-
$69 a day ? Insane .
IMO , Anyone who can drink enough to make this a value over individual drinks , has a problem .

15 drinks is almost the equivalent of a full bottle - anyone who drinks that much on the ship probably drinks that much on a daily basis - I agree, they have a problem and should visit Dr. Bob
-
That really doesn't matter. If part of the gratuities on one ship are shared with other ships, so our the gratuities from the other ships. Balances out.
Gratuities are not shared with other ships in the fleet - they stay on the ship - the princess faq sheet is a little misleading. I have asked all of the exec staff.
-
I just did the math for 2 people x a 7 day cruise is a whopping $965.86

that's five bottles of Johnny Walker Blue
-
When we do get the package we'll be sure to max it out every day without any problem what ever the cutoff number they set.
How will you recognize me if you are smashed drunk after 15 drinks?
-
All correct except the automatic gratuity is shared amongs all crew across the fleet, not just that ship.
That is not true - it sounds like it but what it means is that the practice is shared across the fleet. I have been told this by the Maitr de, Hotel Manager and other staff execs.
-
Reading the terms and conditions the 15 drink max is at discretion of Managment.
at 15 drinks a day when do you find time to be sober???LOL
-
Out comes the well used boring saying "stiff the crew" nobody stiffs the crew only Carnival plc and I cannot see anywhere in the message that started the thread that they wanted to remove the gratuities and "stiff the crew" as you say but pay in cash is the way many pay gratuities.
Cash tips in lieu of the autotip must be turned in and it goes into the autotip pool - every dollar you tip this way may only wind up as 50 cents in his pocket - however the choice is ther for anyone
-
I guess it is a matter of her priorities - Booze or stiffing the crew -different strokes for different folks
-
There will be more sharing and abuse at $69.00/day.
I think the new medallion system will put a stop to a lot of abuses
-
Some people were abusing the system by sharing the package which is not allowed
-
I think she wants the AIBP and no tips????
-
Of course, I meant taking it away from the AIBP.
It was included before the changes, right!
As much as this package costs...
Princess... Please do not exclude the gelato!
Don't know - however gelato is not a beverage
-
It is not the gratuity on the drinks package i am asking, it is for the normal gratuity, we are quite happy to tip As we go with all staff.
See my post #3
-
You have a choice - skip the tips or skip the AIBP
-
No gelato!!!
I hadn't realized that.
My poor husband will hate to hear this.
Princess, don't take away the gelato!
They are not taking it away - it can still be purchased or had with coffee card punches - never had the AIBP so I don't know if that covers it
-
I guess if you let the gelato melt it will become a beverage and should be included - LOL
Any comments happy cruiser?
-
Anyone with 500+ days aboard Princess should know the answer to that.
Thanks happy - I think a previous post said they got Gelato with coffee card punches which I am aware of - not having ever purchased an AIBP package I do not know what is in it - being the seasoned cruiser you are perhaps you know??
-
The AIBP and the coffee card are not the same thing???? Not saying just asking?
-
We bring our own international delight flavored creamer with us and keep it in the fridge.
-
Sheets are change every three days unless they get soiled sooner. How often do you need them changed?
-
The IC and HC have breakfast until (I think) 11 AM - MDR till 9 AM - then there is room service 24/7 - I don't think there is a way to go hungry on a Princess cruise

We received the invite to our first ever MTP lunch on Pacific Princess a couple of weeks ago on the August 28, 2017 Iceland cruise. We had 356 days before boarding this cruise so we hit "one year", 365 days while on this cruise.....seemed like a fitting time for the lunch invite!
I believe that quite a few responses to this question when it was first posted more than one year ago were by people confusing the MTP lunch with the Captains Circle party where the CC host introduces the three most travelled people on the cruise and drinks are free. The majority of passengers are unaware of the MTP lunch until they are eventually invited to it but almost everyone is aware of the CC party which To me sounds like the title of this topic, the "MTP Cocktail Party".
AE_Collector
The most travelled can be either a lunch or a cocktail party at the discretion of the captain.
Did anyone get an email from Princess about the increase for Beverage Package?
