  1. That really doesn't matter. If part of the gratuities on one ship are shared with other ships, so our the gratuities from the other ships. Balances out.

Gratuities are not shared with other ships in the fleet - they stay on the ship - the princess faq sheet is a little misleading. I have asked all of the exec staff.

  2. All correct except the automatic gratuity is shared amongs all crew across the fleet, not just that ship.

That is not true - it sounds like it but what it means is that the practice is shared across the fleet. I have been told this by the Maitr de, Hotel Manager and other staff execs.

  3. Out comes the well used boring saying "stiff the crew" nobody stiffs the crew only Carnival plc and I cannot see anywhere in the message that started the thread that they wanted to remove the gratuities and "stiff the crew" as you say but pay in cash is the way many pay gratuities.

Cash tips in lieu of the autotip must be turned in and it goes into the autotip pool - every dollar you tip this way may only wind up as 50 cents in his pocket - however the choice is ther for anyone

  4. No gelato!!!

    I hadn't realized that.

My poor husband will hate to hear this.

Princess, don't take away the gelato!

They are not taking it away - it can still be purchased or had with coffee card punches - never had the AIBP so I don't know if that covers it

  5. Anyone with 500+ days aboard Princess should know the answer to that.

Thanks happy - I think a previous post said they got Gelato with coffee card punches which I am aware of - not having ever purchased an AIBP package I do not know what is in it - being the seasoned cruiser you are perhaps you know??

  6. We received the invite to our first ever MTP lunch on Pacific Princess a couple of weeks ago on the August 28, 2017 Iceland cruise. We had 356 days before boarding this cruise so we hit "one year", 365 days while on this cruise.....seemed like a fitting time for the lunch invite!

I believe that quite a few responses to this question when it was first posted more than one year ago were by people confusing the MTP lunch with the Captains Circle party where the CC host introduces the three most travelled people on the cruise and drinks are free. The majority of passengers are unaware of the MTP lunch until they are eventually invited to it but almost everyone is aware of the CC party which To me sounds like the title of this topic, the "MTP Cocktail Party".

The most travelled can be either a lunch or a cocktail party at the discretion of the captain.
