  1. I honestly would want to go spit in the face of the lady who went out on the excursion with you all, having been exposed and obviously symptomatic. But you are right, Seabourn should never have let her leave her cabin.
  2. I suspect the "logic" is they get the use of your money for a period of time. Plus, if passengers have to pay up-front, there is less likelihood of people booking excursions they may not actually end up taking. So it makes managing excursions spaces more reliable.
  3. We have often done breakfasts in the Collonade, and if you order off the menu rather than the buffet, the food is cooked to order (particularly if you order something like eggs benedict).
  4. Thanks for the report and the amazing pictures. DH and I will be on the Odyssey Sept. 16-30, so I am really appreciating your reports!
  5. I noticed this ad in the PlayBill when we went to see the touring Broadway production of Frozen last weekend. FYI for anyone thinking of an Alaskan cruise next summer!
  6. DH and I will be on the same cruise you are going on. I have pre-ordered the jacket to be delivered on board (I told DH to order his own, LOL). I also ordered rental waterproof pants. I saw no need to buy something like that that I will only use this one time. Look forward to meeting you on board!
  7. We are scheduled to cruise on the Odyssey in September. I sure hope these issues have been resolved before we embark!
  8. No sure if there is a USB port on the TV that might allow this, but there isn't any iPhone dock in the room to play music. You could bring along a small portable Bluetooth speaker to play your music.
  9. For me and my husband, the appeal is the pampering. If you ask for something, the crew will attempt to make it happen if at all possible. Staff learn your names and preferences within a day or two of being on the ship. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Food is very good. I guess I am wondering what matters most to you in selecting a cruise line? You said food isn't what drives your decision, but seem unusually bothered that dinner isn't served before 7.
  10. This thread makes me think of the old Downton Abbey episode where Lord Grantham was criticized for being "casual" for wearing his tux to dinner rather than white tie and dinner jacket. LOL
