  1. You are 100% correct. Suite Guests can checkin at anytime. Just have them indiate they are Suite Guests and show boarding pass and you will be directed to the Retreat CheckIn area.
  2. Thanks for taking the time to to post your review. Really enjoyed your observations.
  3. Got up early and Le Bellot was approaching Milwaukee. We have a late checkout so later this morning we are going to walk down to the Pier and check out the layout of the land. So little information is provided by Ponant. We also have to track down and get a requested picture of "The Fonz".
  4. LOL --- No... but I use to have about 5 different colors. After my eye surgery I just have one pair now. The reason for so many was that as I got closer to surgery I had to get 5 new prescriptions in less than a year. Yesterday someone in the elevator said I should have put on my Purple shirt... We looked down and both Iain and I were in Purple. Definitely not planned but we often ask "What Color are you wearing today" so we don't look like the Bobsy' Twins.
  5. I really do enjoy doors and have taken pictures of 1,000's of them worldwide. I got started while living in Dublin. Someone gave me a gift of a cocktail table book - Doors of Dublin. Evey door in Dublin, is a different brightly painted ornate door.
  6. Difference - Ponant have Webcams on all their ships and Celebrity has removed all of theirs that use to be on their ships (10+ years ago). Checkin - Celebrity is very good with choosing a checkin time and ability to download Luggage Tags and Boarding Passes. Ponant on the other hand just told us to show up at a pier at 4:00 PM as oppose to getting on the ship starting at 11:00 AM for Celebrity + for Celebrity App - Celebrity's App has come a long way and while many complain it is pretty good and allows booking and viewing Menus. Ponant's App is pretty much stationary and has no live data or the ability to perform any function on it. + for Celebrity Excursions - Both Celebrity have the ability to book excursions in advance. Celebrity allows you to do this on their website and pay for the reservation. Ponant requires you to Call Reservations starting 30 days before the cruise. They put you on a list and tell you it will be confirmed and paid for aboard the ship. + for Celebrity
  7. It is a beautiful city. This is very much a business district and even this morning there is no hustle and bustle like most cities at 9:00 Am
  8. No... but I almost said let's get a live lobster lunch. It surprised me to see at least two places with tanks full of live lobsters. We did find a really nice sandwich shop directly across the street from our hotel.
  9. @phoenix_dream We had to try your recommendation. We were a little apprehensive as their portions look so HUGE and they were. It was incredible but we could only eat half our portion in order to save room for desert. Iain had the Wiener schnitzel and I had the The Beef Strudel
  10. Vien -- good seeing you. I was really surprised Milwaukee doesn't have many interesting doors in the areas we have been.
  11. We awoke to an dreary drizzly morning. Suppose to have some heavy rains around noon. Since we do not board until 4:00 PM the hotel was kind enough to give us a Late Checkout. Checked on the Ponant Site - Le Bellot Webcam - https://us.ponant.com/le-bellot and she was approaching earlier this morning. Many of you remember that Celebrity USED to have Bridge Cams on their ships.
  12. Iain pointed out a tour of the Grand Hotel. Hope it isn’t fully booked. May be interesting as it suppose to rain tomorrow.
  13. I haven’t but have been hearing good things about Viking.
  14. Will have to find him. He is on the way to where we are going to dinner. Thanks for pointing it out.
  15. We took the Subway - about a block closer to the terminal than the Tram - I think it is 1 to 2 stops away. One thing we found out was if you don't have a ticket you can just tap any chip card and it will charge your fare. From Central Station - Trains run to every 10 minutes to Schiphol and Amsterdam. The trains arrive right into the terminal and was very easy. Distance from the Cruise Terminal to the Tram or Subway is probably 2-3 blocks on well paved smooth sidewalks.
  16. There is an Irish version of the Euen - ahh.. all these British versions of the same name. I chuckle on cruises as they usually address me as Mr James. The only one that called me James was my Mother when she was pissed at me.
  17. Not really a big issue. Iain is the Scottish Gaelic version of Ian and is pronounced the same. He will respond to either ----
  18. Heading back to our hotel we came upon the Milwaukee Farmers Market. really a hustle bustle place.
  19. Next up was a visit to the Third Ward. It is a beautiful area but again, not sure if just Sunday or time of day but very quiet.
  20. Elizabeth - We had the same feeling. The city is really quiet today and wasn't sure if it was just Sunday or just a quiet city. The thing I notice more than anything is how clean the whole city is. Didn't see a scrap of trash on the streets or sidewalks. The other thing was the amount of art. They have a map to take the sculpture and art work of Milwaukee.
