I’m of the belief that RC has a different meaning of the word SALE.
Because none of their sales have any savings.
Maybe they think that people will just buy it?

Almost turns me off Cruiseing
Last cruise there was a group of unsavoury Australian adults with a couple of kids way past their bedtime.the adults we giving the kids strong alcohol and telling them to get up and effing dance.
One was only about 10.
Fortunately security was all over them.
The language and what a scene.

"All" cruises leaving from OZ? Even a SYD-SEA TP?
That would be nice!
To my knowledge all RC ships
That’s what wins me over with Royal.
We can’t wait for room service we would die by then and the coffee is hit and miss.
We take our coffee plunger and some good aribica coffee.
-
In Australia we have a kettle in the cabin so we take a coffee plunger.
What I understand you don’t get that in America.
Maybe you can request it?
-
So if you have a suite would the a lot chops and if not you can go to the concierge and change it

I m taking my sister on the ovation in a bit over two weeks.
I’m a beer drinker ( but will drink anything). And my sister loves her glass of wine with her meals but she’s mad on her martini’s.
I m not really up to date on martini’s and RC martini menu.
Does anyone have a special mix?

Spend the money, you will quickly forget the extra expense.
Also the cabin attendants are exceptionally nice
-
You should have a gold sea card which will get you in.
Question
Can you sneak a friend in without a gold card as a guest?
Or are they strict an the rules
-
Yes, for 3.5 hours each evening.
What kind of drinks,beer wine.
Or is there mixed drinks,champagne?
-
Thanks bob
So is there free alcoholic drink in the concierge Lounge

I take those jumbo size ziplocks on every vacation, they’re handy for a million different things!
That’s a good idea,it is hard to get a plastic bag.
Especially for dirty clothes.
-
We always take some of those rectangular fast food containers.
Great for midnight snacks or watermelon for that dry throat after a big night.
-
We are booked on the explorer in a grand suite.
So what are the perks you get with the gold card?
Priority on& off the ship
Breakfast in chops
Special seating in the theatre & the pool
And what else?

I just panicked as I'm sailing Explorer in November (Nov 7). HUGE sigh of relief finding out the Schoolies cruise is the one directly after mine (Nov 16). Honestly would have cancelled.
Actually we might change it to November 7 lol.
It’s only a informal one about 15 graduates and some of thier families you wouldn’t have to worry.

We had shrimp or prawns as we call it on Australia Day on the ovation.
The worst seafood I’ve had, cheap frozen supermarket product probably from a third world country.
No very impressed.

We are organising one on the explorer 18 December

It’s like spring break for the college.

The cruise director is the Cruise.
Our best so far is Mitch Merucci
I’m hoping one day we will have Graham Seymour, one day.

I am not sure where you get the idea about not having a main dining room. We were on Harmony last August, the mdr looks a lot like the one that Oasis has. Pictures that I have seen show the same mdr on Symphony
I haven’t been on a oasis class,I’m referring to the quantum class.
No main dining room just the grand, silk,American icon and chick.which where originally with different themes and menus but now have the same as windjammers.
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if RC is going to slowly get rid of the main dining room.
The new ships they are building don’t have the traditional main dining room just a few smaller ones they could easily convert to up charge.
We usually eat at windjammers or splurge on a specialty now and then.
On our last cruise on the ovation I was talking to this lovely lady.which dressed me down about eating in the buffet, sub standard pig trough ,she said.
I replied it the same food, she said, what nonsense.
So we put to the test.
The grand then up to windjammers.it was the same food but in windjammers it was fresher.

Give me the voyager class, any day
-
Not all sail away have the first night right.
They are a good deal if you can get them .

We were on the ovation Christmas and are going 8 March.
Cris Hopkins was fabulous much better than joff, even the staff didn’t think much of joff.
Will Criss Hopkins be on ovation in March.

Biker19
I just checked my agents website and all the suites are sold out.
That’s weird this morning there’re were a lot of vacancies right across the suites.
Strange?

From what my friends have told me you will be in a minority and may be a little bit out of place.
But that’s part of the adventure,as for food you will not go hungry.
