How can an outlet be for only one type of electrical appliance??

I don't understand that at all .Does it say "only shavers"???

Yes, it says only shavers, supposedly lower wattage than other things would need, but I've never used one.  That's why they have dryers out in the cabin.

Wife and I are doing planning for upcoming Carnival cruise, and we were wondering if it is possible to put cash on a Sail & Sign account and also put a credit card on the account in case we use up our cash?

You can start with cash and monitor the balance, which us easy to do, then when the cash is low, go to guest services with your card.

Again - thanks for taking the time to assist Carnival "sailors"!!  We will be sailing on August 24th and arriving with our Motorhome (towing a Jeep).  Total length is about 42 feet.  Is there a "surface" lot at the terminal where we will be able to park ?  Thanks again!!

Yes, there's an open lot next to the garage where RVs can park.

Ok, I think it got off track back in Feb. As CDM289 mentioned, the OP asked about the Panorama, and I don’t believe it’s going to be offered, at least in the beginning. I think everyone, starting with the second post started talking about their cruise and not the Panorama.

I read somewhere they're offering FTTF on the Panorama starting in February 2020.

Another older couple at the table were trying to treat the wait staff like servants... just demanding and rude to them, attempting to order them around.  Seems the wait staff knew how handle this -- these two got the service level they deserved.  My wife and I always say please and thank you to the staff, and we are treated like Kings and Queens.  We really do appreciate the service they provide us.

Anyway, we were just amazed at the expectation of some.

I hate seeing that, we treat all the staff very well, they love to chat about their families and their countries and love when you are interested in them.  My parents taught me to treat the CEO and the janitor the same and I always have.

I always try to book our cabin mid-ship...near the glass elevators.  I orient myself the first day as to which direction our cabin is in when I get off the glass elevators.  After the first day, it's easy to find.

I used to sort of do the same, but the Vista class ships don't have glass elevators or full height atriums, so now I'll be messed up on our next cruise!

thats wierd im looking now at booking this and noticed to go from the empress deck to the verandah deck is 135 dollars extra do you know why is there something special on that deck

Not sure what has changed with the new cabins, but the verandah deck used to be only suites and interiors.  Maybe those old suites are considered balcony cabins now vs. the ocean views on the empress?

128k vs 133k.  You are splitting hairs. They are essentially the same size ship. And Dream is the smallest of the class, Breeze is 130k vs Vista at 133k.  Same size.

I realize the marketing is compelling and people think "latest and greatest, bigger mega ship" but the reality is that Carnival just keeps recycling the same tired ship.

I actually prefer the Spirit class ships, way smaller, but we're on the Panorama because it'll be at the port closest to us.  A cruise is a cruise.

I think the reason Vista is not well received is that Carnival is making the mistake of using the same ship design, but smashing more and more in to it. Vista and Dream are the same size ship.

If you are intent on sailing Carnival, then it seems Dream class is the best that they have. It's not saying much, as other lines have better ships. But for the money (assuming Carnival much cheaper), dream class is still a really nice ship.

I have also sailed conquest class and the dream class is a clear upgrade. Still very similar but better. Too bad they screwed up Vista.  You would think they would learn from NCL. Their plus class is still a similar design, but quite a bit larger and works better.

Actually the Vista is bigger than the Dream, tonnage-wise.
