If you read the fine print on the T&C for the Plus and Premier packages, the biggest advantage for me is the fact that if you have 4 passengers in a cabin all of the gratuities are covered by the Packages. That means that for Plus at $60 per day - $25 Wifi - $32 Gratuities (2 people) = $3 Drinks. The math means it's worth getting the packages.
you are not mathing right.
Plus/Premier package only covers grats for the person with the package, not everyone else in the cabin. The first two people in the cabin must both have Plus/Premier package. Not just one.
So, if there are 2 people in the cabin, Plus is $120 per day: $32/36 for grats, $50 Wifi (unless Platinum/Elite, in which case it's half off) and the rest is for drinks/desserts/casual dining.
If there are 4 people in the cabin, of which only 2 have Plus/Premier, then you must pay separate grats for the second 2.
I know this for a fact because we've just traveled with a Premier package for each adult, while our minor kid cruised without a Package. We paid $112 for his gratuities.

Unlimited wifi internet connection - Worth US$25/day/pp, or US$12.50 if you are elite loyalty status
for Platinum as well.

plus unlimited sodas, waters, mocktails, specialty coffee and premium teas.
There are other perks as well.

It would be cheaper for him to pay for 2 Packages than move into a room on his own.
depends on the cruise, but in general - yes.
-
yeap, at least one other adult must have the same package, unless you move into a cabin of your own. If you convince the other adult to have it, have you bumped up to the second name on the list, so that you and the first person have the Plus, and the third doesn't.

I am sure they'll give you a medallion at the terminal.
I was worried that ours wouldn't arrive in time, so I picked them up at the terminal instead. Sometimes USPS is very slow.

the Caribbean. I know there is a difference (16) in years, but we are thinking of one of those ships.
do not do the Caribbean Princess. IMHO.

imho, both ships are extremely similar, so I'd choose the better itinerary/price.

no, just doing their agreed to job, under contract
so are the bartenders.

I don't tip in the mdr - no special requests unless a baked potato, extra butter is one
I don't mean tipping extra. But if you cancel CA, and only plan to tip your cabin steward and bartenders, what about MDR staff where you still plan to eat? Are they not deserving of a tip even if you don't ask for extra butter or a baked potato?

Since our luggage tags don't show cabin number and location, will new tags be available once we get the cabin number? Or can I just add the cabin and location with a sharpie?
yes and yes

Could possibly remove the CA, and just cash tip the room steward and at bars.
you don't eat on a cruise at all?

When are guarantee cabins assigned?
many on our cruise 2 weeks ago got their assignments literally 3-4 days before the cruise. However, they paid $499 pp for a minisuite guarantee, whereas I paid a lot more for an inside cabin, so they weren't complaining too loudly. They said they saved a ton of money by booking a guarantee compared to booking an assigned cabin. 🙂

We just did cave tubing with Butts up first week of June 2024. Here is my review: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3013301-enchanted-princess-review-june-1-2024-western-caribbean-with-food-pics-dailies-and-more/page/2/#comment-67514678
we had a good time (but it was VERY HOT).

I am curious, should any of you decided to share, are you fully vaccinated against Covid, including boosters?
yes, of course, but it's been more than a year and a half since the last booster, so it won't make any difference.

I love seeing the different towel animals, as I got used to having them on the Carnival ships that I cruised on. If we do this ship, I will look forward to seeing them once again.
neither our cabin attendant, nor my parents cabin attendant made any towel animals.
I am assuming they are very busy and have no time for this....
But Enchanted had a demo last year and a demo this year, and it's still fun.

Save on things you’ll probably do anyway
was$165$72per person/daySave 56%ADD PLUS
Is Princess getting ready to increase the price? I may want to book, but I don't want the higher price Plus. I know I could add it on board
I saw the same last month. Plus was $70 and Premier was $90. I even asked here when the price increased. I looked directly on Princess website. An hour later it was back to normal. Glitches...
It was for a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale, and I am in the US.

Premier also includes Princess Prizes, we've won >$500, spa credit, and trinkets just going in and out of the cabin.
and we got $25 total in Princess Prizes (between 4 of us).

last week on Enchanted it was ALL cans. Once in a while a bar didn't have cans or cold cans, but had a fountain soda machine.
What I found more interesting is that they didn't charge us for Red Bull, San Pelegrino or Perrier, but the app said we only get 25% off of them with premier package.

Wow I thought there was some kind of immunity period of a few months after getting it, but I guess it might have been different strains?
most likely. The current one is a lot lighter. April one was like our bout in 2022 - with rib-wrenching cough and misery.

and for my normal drinking pattern $80 would cover the entire week's worth of cruising. 🙂
