Thank you. We sail May 4 on the Astrilde so I’ll watch for your reviews.

where are you located in England?

    We are in Nottingham.

This will be our second Viking river cruise, we are really looking forward to the scenic sailing that we are hoping the Elbe will give us.

  2. Just found this thread 😀 We are sailing on the Elbe in 3 weeks on Viking Beyla, we are fairly confident by going at that time of year the water levels will be ok.

I am planning to write a few reviews on our holiday, including one one the itinerary so I will be sure to share them when complete.

  3. I really cant believe it has been over 6 weeks since we finished our SeaDream voyage. The years you spend counting down go a lot faster than the week you spend onboard that is for sure!

As I always do when we have been on holiday I have written a blog post with my thoughts and photos of SeaDream, I will also be sharing a post on our itinerary and also on the food (my favourite part!) so I will remember to share those with anyone who would like to read them.

I hope you enjoy reading and having a glimpse at what was a truly magical week on SeaDream 1.

Was your flight LHR to Miami, or from a local airport eg Manchester?

Yes LHR, we wanted a direct flight rather than having to have a connection. We flew with Virgin and stayed in the Renaissance London Heathrow the night before our flight which was a lovey hotel and we booked a hotel and parking package so just left the car in the hotel car park.

  5. Hi everyone,

Don't know where the time has gone but my husband and I went on our first Celebrity cruise in November and I have written some of my thoughts on the ship, itinerary and the food on my blog (just personal not professional!).

I read so many posts on here when we booked our holiday to try and make the most of everything when we were onboard (which I think we did).

    Hope you enjoy reading . . .

  6. Thank you @cabosal1

We have been to the Caribbean a few times and we absolutely love it, the beaches, the people, the relaxed way of life. We have cruised, with a variety of lines, but never done a small ship, yachting experience which we are looking forward to experiencing with SD. We have done a river cruise but think that’s probably like comparing chalk and cheese!

I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time at the top of the yacht bar, sounds like our kind of place!

  7. Only 30 days till we board Seadream 1 and my husband and I are so very excited. We had a voyage booked in May 2020 but the dreaded Covid put an end to that so fast forward a few years later and we are finally getting to sail on Seadream!

I can’t wait to sleep under the stars, go down the water slide, experience the champagne and caviar splash and just enjoy the day to day life of being on Seadream with all the amazing food, drink and service that we have read so many fantastic things about.

I have gone back so far on this forum reading all the message which I always find so helpful before we sail but any tips will be greatly appreciated whether that be your favourite cocktail on board, a particular breakfast order etc. We both love our food so that is something we are very much looking forward to!

  8. Hi all,

Its been over a month now since my husband and I returned home from our Viking river cruise sailing along the Danube (which we absolutely loved!), it was our first river cruise after 5 ocean cruises.

We did quite a bit of research into Viking and cruising the Danube and were so happy we chose Viking and the Danube Waltz.

I have written a few blog posts on our cruise for anyone that would like to have a read.

This one is about the ship itself, Viking Rinda . . .

And this post is about our itinerary sailing the Danube . . .

Just want add a note to say I’m not a professional writer I just write for fun. I do always double check and try my best but please excuse any grammatical errors 😊

I'm planning to write a few more about the food and drink we had on our sailing so I will be sure to share those once I have them complete.

  9. We are booked on our first SeaDream sailing in May and to say I am excited is an understatement! I have gone back so far on these board reading everyone's trip reports which I have loved!

I cant wait to have my first class of champagne on board, make myself at home at the TOTY bar and try all the incredible food!

  10. Hi everyone, thank you for your kind comments!

We had absolutely no problems with the language however our sailing had all English speaking passengers, there were some Americans, Australians and some other British on board.

The English spoken by all the crew was excellent and all the excursions we did were all English speaking.

  11. Hi Everyone

My husband and I went on our first river cruise earlier this year, we have only every done big ship cruising. When we were looking who to go with we couldn't find many reviews on CroisiEurope. I write a travel and food blog (as a hobby) so I have written some reviews on our experience. I hope these help anyone who is looking for more information and couldn't find much detail like I couldn't!

    All about the ship . . .

  12. Thank you so much everyone. So exciting to read what cruises everyone has got booked. We havent got another booked yet however we are currently looking as it is my husbands 40th Birthday in September next year so will hopefully have something special booked soon!

  13. Thank you for your kind words everyone. We absolutely loved our cruise with Silversea and would go on another one in a heartbeat! The Antarctica is definitely on our list.

Before we went I read nearly every post on here and got so many fantastic hints and tips.

  14. Hi everyone

My husband and I went on our first Silversea cruise this year, we had a 9 day voyage from Rome to Barcelona and we loved every minute.

I write a travel blog (just for fun) and have written up my thoughts on the ship on one post and the second post is all about the food!

    Hope you enjoy reading :)
