Tomorrow's Post - Our Big Disappointment.

We were fortunate enough years ago to have a tour of the bridge. I was amazed at the size of the wiper blades on the ships windows. My husband still laughs, of all the things to look at on the bridge and I was fascinated with the size of the wipers.

  2. Well Whimsey;

After much ado about something, I have finally beat her into submission and she has reluctantly given up the business card you have been waiting for!

I hope you appreciate it, as I will be paying for this for some time if you know what I mean :(

If you can contact Edgar, I am certain you will be happy with the tour he provides. Good Luck

I do appreciate your efforts and have sent an email. Thank you!

  3. I chuckle at the discussion of your ISTP. We have been married for 32 years. My husband has been thru the program as well. Other wives marvel at some of his training and I tell them he didn't come out of the box like that, it took years of training. I am not fond of finding a new recruit and going thru the training process again so I take care of him, to keep him around. :D

  4. I cannot begin to tell you how much you have increased my excitement for our upcoming cruise. Your photos are the nicest I have ever seen of the canal adventure.

I would be very interested in seeing the card of the person that did your private tour of Cartagena if you can find it.

    Please take care of yourself.

  5. I make my own balsamic dressing with blueberry balsamic vinegar. When refrigerated it becomes very thick. I buy my balsamic vinegars at a specialty olive oil and vinegar store. You might want to look for one in your area. You can sample all the different olive oils and vinegars. You

might find something that reminds you of theirs.

  6. I am loving the review and photos too!

Can you email me a couple of the colorful fish in 3D? I would love to see them that way.

    A few questions.

The Nojito, is that the non alcohol verson of the mojito? If so I am assuming it's pretty tasty?

DePalm Island...what type of food and drink did they offer?

How fun to have the Dolphin swim by you! And the whale on your other trip, awesome!

  7. LOL! I thought it was really a wave pool! All the same, it looks like a great pool!

Also, I have been getting your photos in 3D and they are stunning to view on our TV. I feel like we can reach out and touch things. I am not very technical and it was very easy to load them on a stick and view them on our TV. Thank you so much for taking time to do this!

  8. Thank you for sharing your journey. I have the ability to see photos in 3D on my TV but haven't tried that yet. If you would care to share a few I would give it a try.

What did you do in Cartagena?

Also, do you have the ability to scan and email the Patters? I would love to see them before we cruise in March.

My email is bartony3 at yahoo dot com.

I hope you are able to rest up well after your wonderful cruise.

  9. Hi Whimsy--

We are from Illinois too (LaSalle- Peru area). We were on the Coral Princess Dec. 7-18th, 2013. We had traditional dining at 7:45 with Suwit & Roberto (Mr. Bean) as our servers-- they were wonderful! Here are the orders of the menus-- (We will include the post numbers from Christine Lee's Post -- Food, Food and more Food)

    FLL-- Sailaway (1-2)

    Sea-- Captain's Welcome (formal) (4-5)

Sea -- Princess (Caribbean) (14-15) -- we did UBD

    Aruba-- (51-52) -- we did Sabatini's

    Sea -- (40-41)

    Cartagena, Columbia -- (57-58)

Panama Canal--(61-62) we did Bayou Cafe -- this night was open seating in the main dining room -- so you didn't get your regular table.

Limon, Costa Rica -- Italian (66-67)

    Sea-- Capt. Gala (formal) (76-77)

Grand Cayman-- Chef's Dinner (you can also get french onion soup this night)

    Sea-- Landfall Dinner (82-83)

When we had our UBD-- they gave us everything we asked for-- we changed many things on their menu and they brought us all of it!

We have all the Patters, but no scanner -- so if you have any questions.

If you would like to see our pictures (there are over 400)- here is the link --

(Click on Slideshow -- many food pictures!)

I would have to say that it was very interesting to see the Panama Canal! Our least favorite thing was the cruise director. We would be happy to answer any questions that you might have! Enjoy your cruise!

    Jerry & Dorie

Thank you! This is very helpful! Will take a look at your photos very soon!

Can you tell me if they did horse races? Who was some of the entertainment? Not so much the production shows but comedy, etc.

I have been hearing some not so great things about the cruise director. Let's hope she is just having an off time and things liven up a bit.

  10. I am in big trouble with DH! I should have booked my Ruby Princess cruise earlier.

Last night I was going to book a mini suite on the Emerald Deck- cabin E724, but was too tired. Figured I would just book today. I went to website and now all of the mini suites are listed as guarantees!

I called Princess and explained what happened and wanted to see if that cabin is still available. It is available but only as a guarantee so they will not let me book that particular cabin. The representative said there is a slight possibility that the cabin would show up again on the website but not likely.

As you can imagine I am catching some grief about not booking the cabin last night when it was listed. There is no way he wants a cabin on the Dolphin deck.

Has anyone had this happen and did the mini suite cabin show up again not as a guarantee? Any suggestions?

I might have to end up with a balcony cabin.

How far out is the sailing? Check often and perhaps as final payment draws near one will open up.

  11. The fettuccine. I really enjoy all the food on Princess but nothing sticks out in my mind like their fettuccine. I cannot find it anywhere on land like theirs and just don't even bother trying anymore. Maybe it's the sea air!

I love their homemade ice cream served in the dining room too!

  12. I'm looking for the best beach place to spend the day on the beach. We like a place with chairs, food, drinks and bathrooms. A bucket of beer specials for my husband, frozen cocktails for us ladies and something besides burgers, can have that at home. We like conch, fish, etc. We would take a taxi with at least 4-6 of us in a group.
