  1. 8668 or 7672 or not Owner's Suite, they are two bedrooms Suite. We were in 8668 last November and we loved it and it is big enough for four ladies.

This is where RCCL gets confusing! On the deck plans when I was looking they listed 7672 as 2 bedroom owners suite. By any chance would you have pics? Did it have two bedrooms with 2 twins in each? Thanks for responding!

  2. So one bed is only a king and then the other room is 2 twins? It says two kings that separate into twins on the site but that's not always accurate lol. My bestie and I don't mind a king, happens to us all the time when we go to all inclusives! However, I do want everyone to have a bed... can anyone elaborate further for me? Bare with me, I just quit coffee :D

I don't think I can get two balcony rooms, and I may be wrong, but two have never cruised and one only cruised once. I'm platinum so one room wouldn't get my benefits, right? Like boarding first or the discount on balcony cabin?

I so appreciate the responses! I think late night stuff is important so that's something to consider. We are a karaoke, piano bar, dancing kind of group. My only complaint on the Radiance years ago was that everything closed early and we were a bit bored at night.

  3. I never gain on cruises but I'm kind of picky with my food and love activities. So if you are not the same I'd say a couple of weeks before your cruise start making your 2 meals a day into 4 meals a day. Don't add a lot of food, just split those two meals up. It gives you a couple of weeks of getting used to eating that way so you won't go bonkers on the cruise lol. Also please, don't think of it as exercise but spend some time every day walking the track on the ship. Just do it to see the beautiful ocean or the people sitting and think of it as a stroll. This bit of 'exercise' will really help!

  4. Hi! So trying to convert my hubby into a cruiser didn't work (damn you storm and giant waves lol!) so I talked my bestie into taking a cruise last February and she is hooked!! Now our other two great girlfriends want to try. I'm so excited but we are all a bit high maintenance Jersey types :p so we can't cram ourselves and all of our makeup into a balcony. Now we decided to check out suites.

I'm super excited because I've never done a suite yet in 13 years of cruising! But our choices are slim because our dates are not flexible. I really want to revisit Labadee and know my girls will love the over the water cabanas. I've narrowed our choices down to Indy with an aft Grand Suite, 8714, 8414 or 9708 OR the Jewel with an Owners Suite 8668 or 7672. I will say Radiance has been my favorite ship so far because of the beauty of it but I'm with 4 ladies that will want dancing and entertainment so not sure if Jewel is too small or old for us? My bestie has only been on Enchantment and fell in love so I feel like I can't go wrong. I just would love some advice from other CCers about what YOU would do!

  5. If you guys like good food I'd suggest looking up a shop called Glazed Donuts. Also a food stand, #1 rated food in all of KW, Garbos Grill. And don't miss getting chocolate covered keylime pie on a stick. KW is filled with gorgeous art galleries you can stroll in and out of on Duval St. Skip the slushy machine sugar margaritas and find a good mojito, you won't have to look too hard.

    Awesome thank you!!!

  6. Hello CCers!

So just trying to get last minute info. We are staying in SoBe for two days before and just going to uber over to the port morning of. I usually get to the ship around 9:30 when I go. Is this good for Enchantment out of Miami? We have 12:30 lunch reservations so I'm assuming we will be on around 11ish?

Also do the balconies on Enchantment have glass? I was reading a review of a ships balcony and they said when you sat you didn't see any ocean, just a metal panel where the glass would be.

  7. We did Chops for embarkation day lunch on the Enchantment in November. The menu was what's listed above. We were the only people in the dining room and really enjoyed out first meal on the ship. The price was right for us ($18- I think this was a sale price on the website) to try a specialty restaurant and skip the Windjammer. I would absolutely do it again but I don't think we would do the burger again. Everything else we had was delicious and the Salmon Filet was so big I couldn't finish it.

    Thanks for the info!!

  8. I can't think of a bigger waste of money than Chops lunch. It's a short cruise. Plenty of variety. Just go enjoy what is offered. If you're in a rush to spend the money at least skip the lunch and do the dinner. Honestly, MANY of the lunch items will have a similar offering at no charge in the Windjammer. there's a reason Chops is a ghost town for lunch.

Windjammer is often a hectic place with meh offerings. We want to get on the ship and get away from the crowds for lunch. My least favorite part of cruising is always the crush of people in Windjammer. I don't think there is plenty of variety on the ships for lunch at all on embarkation day. Just the buffet and maybe some small sandwiches/pizza? I'd rather have a nicer lunch on the first day. I really think the quality of chops vs the windmammer is vast and even the mdr isn't on par. That's why they nickel and dime us on it lol. Money isn't an issue with vacay in this instance, another charge for dinner isn't going to kill me. If it is I shouldn't even be taking a cruise lol!!

  9. I've actually never heard it said in a way that matches gravity. The vowels weren't that short. It was always Lahbahdee. I do believe that it's more of a correct enunciation of the way it is actually, technically said. Labadee said like gravity sounds very dumbed down American but I don't mean that in a rude way. Just that it seems like a very incorrect pronounciation of a French word. Like if you pronounced croissant as crassant.

  10. I didn't know this particular celebrity but his death is sad all the same. I don't think anyone on this thread needs to have a point to post. I've felt comfort reading all the posts. It sucks when a momentary lapse in judgment leads to death. I also hate that 'rampant drug use' seems to get linked to a gay cruise here. It's really any party cruise that has drug issues.
