  1. I know many businesses that are impacted by supply chain issues. Personally we’ve experienced a shortage of parts for appliances, appliances, crop/garden seed and fertilizer, metal, new vehicles, ammunition, and occasionally some foods. Much of it is due to transportation issues (truck/ship), but some is lack of personnel to produce these items. If equipment breaks, it’s really difficult to find the parts necessary for repair. I’m not sure if that fits the definition of “supply chain issues”, but that’s what’s happening in southern Alberta, and likely extends to other areas.

    PS, redneckbob enjoy your cruise!

There's a Carrefour store mid-way between our hotels that we'll be hitting up for some "supplies" to take onboard - crackers and chocolate (because apparently we now only get chocolates on gala nights).  I'm going to put a chocolate on my pillow before we head out for dinner, then act surprised when we return at the end of the evening.  LOL

There’s also a nice grocery store in the basement of El Corte Inglés off Plaça de Catalunya. I’ve bought “picnic” supplies, wine, crackers, cheese, nuts, etc. I may need to get chocolates too, thanks for the idea!

Well, it does not even work always with private tours. I did a tour in Iceland where one person complained so much about how long the tour was that the organizer gave in and we returned to the ship early. The only plus side was that now we knew not to include that person in tours, but it sort of ruined this one.

That sure sounds like a way to ruin a tour,  sad to say.

  4. We were on a walking tour, billed as “Strenuous”, in Valletta, Malta. I was disappointed at the people who signed up who were not capable of walking the distance required, especially as it was explained in the description. Obviously not everyone read the synopsis. The tour guide politely asked people to walk faster as the cathedral was going to close soon, and we had other places to see.  The complaining of those with baby strollers, knee replacements, etc was annoying. I expect to see all the places promised in the tour description. Lesson learned:  private tours.

I've already done that.  I think it may be an iPhone issue because my dad couldn't get it to log in on his phone but my fiancé can (he has an Android).  Hopefully it gets fixed soon because we have a cruise coming up in only a couple of weeks and I always use the app a bunch onboard.

My iPad and iPhone’s versions of navigator are working great, just tried a second ago.

You can find menus on the Navigator app.  It seems that French onion soup and Caesar salad is always available as appetizers.  There's a garlic-herb roasted chicken, NY strip loin, and salmon dish available each night.  I had no trouble with them accommodating requests for no sauce, different sides, etc. on our last two cruises.

Great news on the swapping of sides.

They run from, but not including, the aft elevator lobby to, but not including, the midship elevator lobby.

You will not be allowed to book a cabin in the quarantine area.

We were assigned a cabin in this zone, 4124 for November. I wonder if/when they would move us.

Maybe cruising is a lot different but I couldn’t board my plane from the USA to Canada without showing my receipt.  Not only do I have a passport but I also have a nexus card.  I believe I also had to show it once I got back to Canada.  This was last month.

FWIW  I understand the ArriveCAN  info is automatically attached to your passport when you get the receipt for it. Therefore when your passport is scanned they get that info up too…no need to ask you about it.

We drove to Montana for a mini vacation a few days ago. On our way home, Canada Border officer asked for our passports, as usual. I also  offered up our Arrive Canada App, which he declined, saying that when he enters our passport numbers onto his computer, he can see our ArriveCan information.

Flying back to Canada last December, we were required to enter the arrive can info on the Westjet site before we could download our boarding passes. We didn’t show our ArriveCan app on arrival , but we assumed it was because we had our Nexus cards, I’m not sure.
