Just left the Epic on 17Jul in Barcelona. The NCL airfare worked great for us but we did not know to book the deviation ( request for extra days before or after the cruise) early so we were told we could only have one day after the cruise. Once the air was booked with American we could pick our seats and use my status to upgrade. The extra day in BCN was the best due to no stress to get back to the ship. We did all our own excursions except used the transport to Pisa and Florence.

We just received our flight information from NCL. We were able to go on American Air and add our AA number which allowed us to pick upgraded seats due to my status and request upgrades for the domestic portion. I agree with the earlier poster that said it is a gift and you can not complain but I have and should take my own advice. Fare was $1600 when I priced it and we paid $1300 for both.

We are using NCL for our July 10 European Epic cruise and it has been anything but smooth. Our first time with any cruise ship air so we had a steep learning curve. We called on the last day for the deviation and were told there was only one day left on the return. We arrive the day of the cruise. Not our choice. 30 days out no flight information so we called and they had the wrong email. Some how they managed to send us upgrade offer and increase booze package offer via email but not our flights. Does anyone know if once you do the NCL transfer from the airport to the ship are you done with your bags or do you have to take off the bus at the port? Thank you for any advice or insight.

On our first cruise ever , when we arrived to our room it had been switched. The cabin next to us needed adjoining rooms due to a child who was in a wheelchair due to a very recent broken leg. The family gave us a bottle of wine and were so grateful. We could have cared less and were happy to help them.

MSC Smarties ! When do you apply for status match? Do you have to book then apply or can you apply without a booking? Thanks in advance for your help
