  1. And I don't think the pregnant OP is "entitled" (oh, how I loathe that word). She simply has no use for a drink package with alcohol, soda, juice, or coffee. BUT, she did respond positively to the suggestion of a water package, which suggests she doesn't want anything for free, just that she doesn't want to pay for a package she won't use but also doesn't want her husband to have to pay per drink.

  2. RCI could easily solve the problem of drink sharing by having drink package holders wear bracelets and put package drinks in cups that indicate they are package drinks. Anyone not wearing a drink package bracelet and corresponding cup would be blindly obvious. Any cost of the bracelets/cups would be offset by the savings on drink sharing.

Or they could set a daily limit like other lines.

  3. I have yet to go on my first cruise but it seems to me, the problem of drink package theft could be resolved by having drink package holders wear a special bracelet and bartenders could serve package drinks in a certain kind of cup that correlates with the bracelet. That way, anyone not wearing a drink package bracelet but drinking a package drink would be blindingly obvious. I'm sure the extra cost of the specially marked cups would be made up in additional drink package purchases when people realize they couldn't get away with it anymore.

  4. Wifi calling isn't always consistent, in my experience. If anyone needs a back-up plan for calls and texting, Google Voice allows you to use the wifi connected to your phone to do so. Most people already have a Google account but you can set up a Google Voice number that uses wifi. You can download the GV app and make calls and texts directly through it. Easy peasy.

  5. Probably not, for health reasons. Just take the cup they give you and pour it into your cup.

I'm two weeks shy of my first cruise but please correct me if I'm wrong...there isn't a difference in refilling the provided cup vs. your own cup. It's refilling a used cup either way. I don't see why health reasons would be an excuse. Sorry....health inspector's daughter, here.
