I’ve watched some videos of Freedom of the seas and have seen a few clips of this treehouse indoor play area. Was wondering if this was something that could be used with parents for younger kids? I’ll have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. Is it a part of Adventure Ocean? I can’t find anything on it besides the few clips in videos. Thanks!

How was the weather on the sea days? Warm enough for pool on the 2nd sea day or not until the 3rd?

Looking at booking this ship out of NYC this year. How many sea days were cold/non pool days? Did it warm up by the 2nd of 3 sea days?

Following up on this topic as I was the original poster. We sailed, and easily made our flight. We were off the ship (self disembark) and through security by 7:45am. Walked to our parked car a few blocks away and drove to IAH taking the beltway. Got there by 9:15am to return our car. Had more than enough time for lunch after security and very easily made our 11:55am flight.

Has anyone used or heard about using Cruise Driven or Cruzin Transportation for a transfer from IAH to the port and back? Or is there a company you’d recommend? Private transfer for 2 adults and 2 kids (need car seats). thanks!

Are there any hotels in La Marque that offer a shuttle or transfer (for a fee of course) from the hotel to the port? Otherwise how could I get to the port from that area hotel? Or Texas City hotel? We’ll have a 1 and a 3 year old so an Uber isn’t so easy since we’re not bringing car seats. (Are these decent areas to stay one night in?)

We’re getting off the carnival breeze on Monday May 6th. Looking to catch an 11:55am flight out of IAH. We get to port at 8am. We’d walk off right away with our own luggage and have TSA precheck. Is there heavy traffic port to IAH on Monday mornings after 8am? Thoughts on making this flight? We’re experienced cruisers and have often gotten off the ship prior to the stated arrival time, first time going out of Galveston though.

Cruising on the journeys cruise in a week and looking to book excursions… did the ship change time to match local island time on the cruise? Or were you on ship time the entire cruise? Thanks!!

February 10th is the date. Would like to stay at $300 or lower. We don’t need anything fancy, we’ll be there less than 24 hrs. Yes, we will need a crib! I also do a lot with credit card points and hotel points which the price with points is often lower so the price isn’t really a main focus. More so the area where there are things for us to walk to and do for that day we arrive. thanks!

Hello! My husband and I and our two sons (1yr and 3yr) are going out of the Manhattan cruise port mid-February. We’re flying into LGA. What hotels do you recommend? What can we do with the kids? We land at 10am so we’ll have a decent amount of the day to explore. Neither of us are too familiar with the area and what we can do with the young kids and who knows what the weather will be. Any recommendations for a one night stay at hotel and things to do (walking distance from hotel) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We are scheduled to disembark the ship at 6am out of Panama City Fuerte Amador (are there the night before as well). How early of a flight can I book out or PTY? There’s not many options.. I know it’s an estimated 45 min drive to the airport. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I tried to PM you but it is telling me that feature is disabled. I looked at your profile and it looks like we’re talking about the same sailing - NCL Joy out of Miami on Nov 25! Id like to know more info on what your plan is.. I previously called about a different cruise a few years ago asking if we could get off early and I got mixed answered based on whoever I talked to. Some said yes, some said no. I know when we went to Tahiti and docked overnight we were able to get off that night if we wanted to as some people did, but that wasn’t posted like this as two different days/ports, it just stated overnight.

I’m new to cruising to this destination and couldn’t find a distinct answer when googling. Are these the same place or different? Panama City (Pacific Cruise Terminal),Panama Panama City (Fuerte Amador),Panama Wondering if I could get off the ship a day early at the pacific cruise terminal instead of waiting until 6am the next day at the fuerte Amador.. airfare home works out much better the date of the pacific cruise terminal. Here is what the itinerary states. Wondering if it is the same place and we are just parked there overnight? Thanks!

Will be flying into Newark with 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 1). Looking for hotels in the area (either NJ or NY) that have transfers to the port in the morning? I know most will have a charge (that’s fine), we won’t have car seats so it’s just easier to get a transfer from a hotel than trying to Uber. Thank you!

Hello! Leaving on the Celebration next Saturday for my moms 60th birthday cruise. The whole family (14 of us) are going. Any clever or interactive ideas for how we could decorate her cabin door? We thought of decorating the door and then making it a Photo Booth for people walking by to take pics and then tag her in them - would people actually take pics? Any other ideas? Or interactive ideas with post it notes? She loves meeting and talking to new people! Thanks!

We will be sailing on the Celebration over Father’s Day (a group of 14 of us) including my dad, husband, and brother in law who are all fathers. Father’s Day will land on a sea day. Any ideas of what we could do for them? One idea was to send the 3 of them to sea day brunch (something we normally don’t do) and have the moms/grandma watch the 6 kids. Any other thoughts like a scavenger hunt or any other clever ideas? Thanks!
