The first time I sailed solo after they switched to the double points offer, I did not get the double points.  A quick call to the Captains Club took care of that and I have received double points ever since.  But I think it's helpful to check after each cruise as opposed to letting them pile up.  Probably harder to verify.

Yeah, I just don't want to spend the next 3 hours listening to their hold music. UGH.

100% agree and if the OP is sailing often solo, they receive double CC points and once they make elite will receive the 5-7pm happy hour which makes things a little bit easier

IF and that's a big IF, you get the double points. I wasn't aware of that rule until just recently a I went back and realized I did NOT receive double points for several bookings. I sent an email to the CC over a month ago and (spoiler alert)....crickets.

I'm going to bring this up with the Retreat Concierge on my next cruise.

  3. I disembarked from terminal 29 yesterday around 930 and it took almost an hour to get an Uber. Tried using Uber and Lyft apps and they would spin for at least 2 minutes and then come back "no drivers available". I've never seen that happen there before but our ship was at 90% capacity and that terminal is away from the others. And it started raining so traffic was really bad.

  4. We arrived to pier 29 on the 20th in pouring rain. A lot of people said their clothes were wet when their bags arrived. We disembarked on the 27th around 9:30. We were in a suite and were hanging out in Michael's club but I think we waited too long. After more than 6 attempts to get an Uber or Lyft we were finally picked up close to 10:30. The car apps would just spin for at least 2 minutes and then come back and say "no drivers are available". I've never had that issue before. The captain said Reflection was sailing at 90% occupancy. The post covid crowds are back in full force.

  5. Are there many options on the TV?

On Edge there were dozens of new movies available and then a few months prior on Equinox there was practically nothing. Just wondering if I should try taking a fire stick or not.

And yes I know I'm on a cruise and watching TV isn't a priority, blah blah blah. Don't judge me.

  6. Hi Charla! We met on Equinox a few cruises back. I'm glad to see you are having a great time!

I wore the globe dress on Edge in March and got so many compliments. One day several of the crew decided to show me where they were from and I was poked in several places, LOL! I was walking past a lady on the Retreat deck and she asked where I got it. I saw her 10 minutes later and she said, "It will be delivered to my house on Tuesday!". So yeah, your dream of seeing several people wearing the dress is slowly coming true.

I'm so looking forward to seeing your Gatsby dress, you have such great taste!

What is your opinion on the Infinite veranda after having balconies in the past?

I think the free CC slot tournament grand prize was $25 casino credit.  The tournament was conducted several times during our 15 night TA sailing.

The one I did wasn't free - I want to say $25 to enter but I could be wrong.

  8. Pre Covid on Equinox I got invited to the "Officer's lunch" on the last sea day. It was held in Blu and afterwards we were given a tour of the bridge. That tunnel like section that sticks out on the side of the ship has a plexiglass window on the floor and you could see down into the ocean. We had a pod of dolphins racing our ship at the time, it was beautiful.

I signed up for this on Silhouette and am looking forward to it.

Was yours a connecting cabin?  If so, was the connecting door in the cabin?  Did you have any noise issue?

It was just like the video where you went thru the first door into a hallway and the inside cabin was to the side and the suite was straight ahead. So basically you had to use your key twice to get into your cabin. It wasn't an issue for me but I'm guessing if you REALLY had to use the bathroom it may slow you down a second or two.

If there was anyone in that cabin, we never saw or heard them. We also never heard a sound from the hallway. No slamming doors, carts going by, people talking. Nothing, was nice.
