Cruise director is  Manuel - he is very entertaining 😄 

After a very long nap...sorry there is def a theme to this cruise... we went and watched the 9pm show in the theatre-  the magic guy Steve Marshshall..he was okay.  Then we headed to the casino to swap some of our extra OBC ( from excursions we cancelled) for chips. We broken even at roulette and cashed out to convert the OBC into cash . We then used our free $5 each slot play. I don't play slots but enthusiastically pressed buttons on  the machine o had chosen and won $33 🙂. By then it was midnight  and we realised we weren't in the mood for pizza - so headed back to the cabin and ordered some burger & fries , chicken skewers & a pot of coffee they were really tasty . 

I've discovered that you can use the app to look at the drinks menu in different bars....but beware - the staff at the pool bar told me they could make me a drink I really enjoyed from the Sunset bar...a Sangria Spritz ....tasted like a totally different drink !! 🤣🤣

At the end of the excursion we had a look round the port. Is it just me or does anyone get put off buying if you get hassled when looking round a shop by pushy sales people?! . I like to look round at my leisure and if something catches my eye I will ask questions and I'm likely to buy. But if I get harrased I will just walk out of the shop...that happened several times today ...and we were looking at nice jewellery...so if they had left me in peace they may have made a good sale !! .

We headed back to the ship for a cold drink and did a mix & match buffet lunch to share back in the cabin. Nachos, carribean specials of the day and some salad.  

We got up early this morning and had a lovely time on the St Kitts scenic railway excursion ( Celebrity). Although we were were a large group we were spit into smaller groups of about 15 and it never felt busy. It started with a short tour of the island with our informative driver & guide Dijon. From there we were loaded onto the train - we chose to sit upstairs in the open topped carriage and during the journey got free rum based drinks from the open bar , great views of the island and a very informative tour ....including a dancing display. Unfortunately the videos won't load but I will post the pictures.

So we headed to the bar for a couple of drinks and to the buffet for some lunch ...I had some great ribs, fried chicken , corn & mashed potato. Also to look at the shopping we had bought - few gifts fir the grandkids...anyone else chose gifts by how little they will weigh for the flight !!! Also whilst buying some perfume in port  realised that when we said we were from the ship
Then went to our room to watch a film on TV....Guess what ....zzzzzzzzz.
Yesterday evening went to dinner in Blu... the starters were very good- Dave enjoyed French onion soup , I Iiked the pork spring roll and we shared the mezze plate.... Good job we filled up on starters as unfortunately  we then had some very undercooked Squab...one of those mistakes...which I think someone probably got into trouble for ...judging by the restaurant managers apologetic comments to us...they were very apologetic and offered to cook us something else ..but by that time we were put off the rest of our dinner. We did have a couple of drinks and enjoyed the Elton John tribute show.  Then an early night as we had a busy day today

After our relaxing day yesterday decided to be a bit more energetic today. We got up early ( early for us on holiday!!)  and had breakfast  at Blu. Then headed off ship for an adventure . Went into port and got a price for a personal taxi tour. $30 each for a shared tour ..$60 each for a private one. Decided to splash out on a private tour and got a great tour guide Barry who was really enthusiastic about showing us the Island . He took us to Shirley Heights and then to Nelsons Dockyard ( the places we requested) giving us lots of info but also giving us plenty of time to explore. We had a great time and didn't feel rushed. Barry told us after 18 months of nothing ...the islands were so happy to have u
the cruise ships back so people could make money  We headed back to port and did a bit of shopping, then back on board for a cocktail and some lunch.

We had a great nap... got up about 9pm and headed to the Martini bar...had a drink and enjoyed the party atmosphere , watched some of the silent disco..always fun to watch,  then headed to the casino to use our $50 dollars each drinks and more casino credit. Tables were nearly empty so we decided to play roulette. Dave lost his straight away... but my numbers were coming in and I changed my $50 into $175 cash chips . Cashed in whilst I was ahead and went to the sunset bar for a drink. Then we headed to the buffet ( having skipped dinner tonight) and took some pizza back to the cabin for a midnight feast.  Its good to stop and have a chill out day  sometimes 🙂. I also enjoy looking at the artwork around the ship, need to find time to take more pics of it !!

Hi, you may have missed my comments about the cabin earlier in the review :

Cabin location - everyone said the Aft Blu cabins on deck 11 were great apart from possible noise. 

'My issue is with everyone below at the sunset bar I feel very exposed - I also feel it affects the view.  I can also def feel more movement than I did in a mid ship cabin. We have decided we aren't great fans of it and although it won't spoil our cruise I sent think its a cabin we would not book again.  !!! '

Pros - very handy for bar/ buffet ...everyone has individual preferences so please don't my comments put you off as as I knowots of people love these cabins! 

The captain announced a little while ago that masks are now optional in the casino and theatre 🙂

Just grabbed some afternoon tea from the buffet...to soak up the cocktails 🍸 🤪...and watched sail away from the balcony ...we did receive an invite to watch from the helipad but decided to skip it today . Now more napping...I did say a very easy day today and read some of my book ....a week into the holiday and only 50.pages read !!

 St Croix
So with a whole day in front of us with no plans we decided to have an easy day. Woke up and had a coffee shop breakfast on the pool deck with a few bits from the buffet. Then headed  for a walk ashore for a look round port. I'll be honest ( otherwise what is the point of the review right? ) We weren't impressed with St Croix port area ( unless we missed something ?) a few overpriced shops, one busy coffee shop, a few market stalls and an enforced outside mask rule....oh & some chickens wandering around !! So that together with my sore foot meant Within an hour we were back onboard . 
We spent most of the day in  the Solarium - a cocktail...or 2...or 3, reading , snoozing and  dip in the hot tub, snack from spa cafe and a general relax. 
 

Okay time to play catchup - yesterday we were in St Thomas and we did a champagne & snorkel excursion on a catamaran  to  St John's.  If you want a serious snorkeling excursion with lots of time to snorkel this isn't for you . If you want an hour or so snorkeling.. a crazy bus trip like a roller coaster and a fun catamaran trip with a great crew  and some rum punch ,champagne and snacks thrown in ...go for it. We didn't dock until 12 so had a lazy late breakfast in the ocean view ... then met dockside and went on a 45 min drive to the catamaran- safety briefing ,issued with snorkeling equipment then had the option of snorkeling directly from the boat or taking a dinghy to the beach and snorkeling from there ( beach pics when I figure out how to download from underwater camera -  although a rough current so no actual underwater pics!! )which we chose.
Chance to swim or snorkel then back onboard for an open bar & some snacks .!!

By the time we arrived back from the excursion there wasn't alot of time to shop so we headed to the ship and after a much needed freshen up we went to dinner in Blu ( sorry no pics )

Although we had a fun day I did aggravate a foot injury from a few weeks before so we decided to cancel today's excursion  - another snorkeling trip  and straight after dinner I hobbled to bed for an early night.

If you have a chance can you let me know the names of the House band, Pool/Party band and if there is a singer/guitarist onboard?  It’s been 2 years since my last cruise and while it’s unlikely just wondering if any of my favourites might be onboard.

Bands/singers  aboard are - higher love , walkie talkies, Sean Roach, Arkadia Duo, Super Nova 

Observation - don't be a 'Karen'

Apologies to anyone reading  this called Karen - don't know if it's the same in the US but in the UK the term 'Karen' is used for those with a sense of entitlement who complain alot. We had one of those on our excursion today ! We had a great small group of people and her being part of the group did spoil it a bit. At the start of the excursion she asked where we were going...and said she didn't like monkeys !!! She then asked lots of stupid questions all day , complained that the monkeys jumped on her!!! Was the only person who refused to wear a mask when asked. Was very rude to the guide... they were showing us the coffee making process and very proud of their traditions in making it .... we were shown each stage and given samples to taste - she told the guides ' we make coffee in my country too I don't need to taste' She loudly & rudely complained about the one well behaved child in the group - comparing him  to the monkeys ....I'm sure if I had been the mother I wouldn't have been able to keep the graceful silence she did ! We said we could see why she was travelling alone!!! 

Had a great nap!! and then determined we were going to stay out later than dinner tonight ! Headed to blu and had dinner ...anyone have those nights when nothing is wrong with the food but you just aren't feeling it? / not hungry?  We had brie followed by the  short ribs then Dave had the cherries jubilee & I had the lava cake - prob only had half of everything! Then we headed to the sky lounge and enjoyed the 50s/60s music quiz ...only got 3 out of 15 right ....but it is the taking part that counts right? Enjoyed a couple of cocktails and enjoyed watching people dancing...one guy was doing a great Mick Jagger impersonation. Then of course because I hadn't eaten much dinner I was hungry!!! So we headed to the buffet and got some late night pizza & salad ( didn't end up eating most of the salad but having the salad on my plate will make me feel healthy!!!)
