There is no bag listed on the Celebrity website Concierge Class amenities anymore.  No flowers (they used to be on the coffee table and in the bathroom), no room card holder which we really liked.  We really only book for the location now.

Taken from Celebrity Cruises website today:

    Additional Concierge Class Stateroom Features:

    • Dedicated Onboard Concierge desk
    • Priority check-in and priority disembarkation based on travel needs
    • Concierge availability during pier check-in
    • Exclusive pre-departure lounge
    • Exclusive Destination Seminar
    • Complimentary shoeshine service
    • Exclusive embarkation day lunch
    • Main and specialty restaurant seating time preferences
    • Welcome Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine and fresh fruit
    • Daily Delectable Delights
    • Pillow menu
    • Celebrity eXhale™ bedding featuring custom premium mattresses, plush duvets and pillows, pure cotton linens, towels, and use of bathrobes
    • Custom-blended bath amenities
    • Extra handheld hair dryer
    • Use of golf umbrella and binoculars
    • Celebrity tote bag
    • Celebrity embossed key holder, notepad and pen
    • Hansgrohe® massaging showerhead
    • Expanded room service breakfast menu

This may differ on the US based site, but the UK site clearly quotes 'Tote Bag' as Concierge amenity - if this is important to you.

Hello all we are first time cruisers booked in Aquaclass on the Silhouette 25/8 to the Norwegian fjords. All inclusive generally means anytime dining but we note that breakfast appears to be just 07.30-9 and lunch 12-1.30. We are night owls and prefer to eat at Southern European times ; ( rather like the Spanish) with breakfast around 10-11 and lunch around 3-4. As we are dining in Blu there should be no problem with evening meal times. I would like to know how flexible breakfast and lunch times are. I understand that the Ocean view buffet is open 24/7 but we do not want this as our sole eating option during the day. Any advice gratefully received, many thanks in advance.

Hi Sandy, We are also on this cruise and also 'night owls'! So I am sure we will see you somewhere around the ship. 😉 Have you joined the Roll Call for this cruise?

We usually take breakfast on the balcony of our cabin, but try to go to the MDR breakfast at least once or twice per cruise. Lunch for us is fine and either from the Spa Cafe or Sushi on 5. Alternately we have 'coffee and a cake' in Al Bacio or coffee and a snack in a cafe ashore. We usually have no problem with a late dinner in MDR at 20:30 and as this is a UK based cruise. there will likely be more 'late' diners than on cruises out of US.

Look forward to seeing you on board.

  3. I too am looking forward to trying Virgin Voyages. I have been with Virgin Broadband for years and get a very good product and service, similarly I enjoy travel on Virgin Atlantic and when I chose Virgin Trains for a few recent journeys, they beat the pants off GWR. Roll on a cruise on the Scarlet Lady in 2020.

  4. Hi Mimisita

We are on Celebrity Infinity Dec 24 2016, we have booked Stamps Tours to pick us up from Santiago Airport to the hotel. Th following day we have a city tour and visit to a winery, then the following day they will transfer us to Valpariso, including a short walking tour. We found their prices to be very reasonable compared to the rest of the agencies we contacted. They have good recommendations on Trip Advisor, so hoping things work out.

  5. I think even when applying for an e-visa, you would have to visit an Indian Visa Office. All Idian visas are now pre-processed by VFS and not by the Indian High Commission. Just did this for our 4 day stop over in Chennai last Sept.

  6. we all meet rude people everyday in one form or another? it may be in the workplace or walking along the street, or possibly on the holiday that you have worked/waited and saved up for all year ?

don't get angry or react hastily, because that's what they want you to do.

all rude people just need a "high-five"..........on the head......with a chair.

    see, problem solved ? :D

Oh, why isn't there a like button here? Love the "high 5 with a chair" !

  7. We usually head straight for the mdr for lunch, then up to the aft bar and stay there till after sailaway. Usually great views and the feeling of travel. I understand it will be difficult to do this on Island, as I understand that it does not have an aft bar any longer! Which is the best bar for sailaway that is not too noisey, crowded, but is out side?

  8. We are due to cruise on Island Princess at the end of Dec and as we both are wine drinkers, I wondered if there was a Vines on board? If not is there another wine bar type place to hang out? Also on Celebrity we used the Martini bar for pre-dinner aperitifs, is there something similar on Island?

I guess we could always go to the bar in the Atrium, which is usually good for a spot of people watching.

  9. Thanks for your answers. Not sure about the fully covered balcony, we are on the port side and doing a West to East cruise through the panama canal, would we get any sun on the balcony? Or is it more morning or afternoon sun? I like to sit out on the balcony on some sea days and catch some rays, as we don't get much in the UK. :D

Good to know we can get some breakfast items in the cabin if we feel like it.

  10. Hi we are new to Princess and have some questions re cabins. We just booked the xmas & new year panama canal cruise on Island.

We have E72x which I think is fully covered? On some of the photos it looks like it could be a bit claustaphobic, being so enclosed, is this the case? Another question relates to noise and vibration, do you think there will be much noise as we are at the aft. Also vibration, heard a lot of discussion on the boards about this and not having been this far back before, just wondered how it was?

Also on princess can you get breakfast delivered to the cabin and does it cost? We love having breakfast outside on a sea day. I am assuming that one of the mdrs will be open for breakfast if we choose to go there, I don'like the hussle and bussle of the buffet in the morning!

Looking forward to our cruise as first Princess and first Panama Canal trip. :)

  11. I also bring my own toiletries, can't stand the cheap shower gel and hair products that are offered in many hotels (or on board) they tend to dry out my skin as they strip it of all the natural oils. Nothing worse than getting a reaction to cheap shower gel to spoil your day! That has happened to me, so now it's my own tried and trusted brands every time.

  12. Hi DaisyMay1960, We are doing the same thing a few days in Seattle, train to Vancouver, cruise to Seward on Millie and then train to Anchorage and fly home from there.

So easy to do and you get to choose your accomodation, what to do and when.

  13. Like some others, I always take a few packs of nuts, pretzels or crackers with me where ever I go. When we're out and about, sometimes we're just not near a cafe or restaurant at lunch so I like to snack until we find somewhere to eat or get back to the ship / hotel. I also usually keep a pack of nuts or something in the glovebox of my car for long journeys.

  14. From the Celebrity.co.uk website today ... " and lots of extra touches that make them a little bit special, like welcome sparkling wine, fresh fruit and flowers, " so according to the web there are still flowers in concierge - at least for the folks from the UK! :p
