  1. Agreed. I wrote this as we were headed to port. We arrived at noon as instructed and breezed right on the ship. I never even asked what it was all about but it couldn't have been smoother. My only disappointment was the dead trees and plants in central park. It was so nice last year.
  2. I signed up and received a 10:00 arrival time when we checked in. Then we got an email to come an hour later than your scheduled time. I am now in our hotel room in Texas City and RCCL says don't show up until noon but not later than 3. It could turn out to be a huge cluster flop if you ask me.
  3. Jan 15 Allure of the Seas, can't wait. Glad to be somewhere warm in January.
  4. What is CL suite. I have only had balcony and lower level cabins. Thanks for the review we are taking the family on Jan 15th. Most have not been on oasis class ship yet. I have some royal up oppertunities we are looking at. We have about 18 going in 8 cabins.
  5. You know my wife did by a bear or something at the groove for St. Jude. We did also have several drinks and two souvenir cups from red frog show up on the first day but they were both taken off before I went to ask about it.
  6. Thanks for this. I have studied this thing over and over. We did save around $150.00 by not having it but I did have drinks on us in the casino and without that I'm sure that it would have put us over the top. Plus we have recently discovered alchemy bar and that gets way more pricey than a beer.
  7. I was just looking over our final statement from our 8 day Horizon cruise a few weeks ago. I wanted to see if it would be worth getting cheers next time. We spent approximately $1450.00 total and only $800.00 was drinks, the rest was gratuities internet and 3 specialty restaurants. Cheers may not be worth it for us but I did see a $40.00 charge to camp ocean and my kids have been grown for years. I also had a charge for laundry which my wife did send out a bag but we are both Platinum. This isn't a huge deal and I will not contact Carnival but just letting you know check it before you disembark.
  8. We just got off in late September and it was port side facing the dock at all 3 of the ABC islands. As was stated that could change.
  9. The only time we did a cove was under the galley. The balcony was nice and made it easy getting back to your room on port days. The noise from above was horrible, I swore they turned the galley into a bowling alley at night. Worst room we have had in 25 cruises as far as noise. This was on a dream class ship so it may be different. Good luck.
  10. My wife and I were booked on an eight day out of Miami last December on another line. Our cruise was canceled less than 2 weeks to sail date. Since i had flights and hotel rooms paid for i looked and found an 8 day on Allure exact same dates out of Lauderdale. I called booked an ocean view on deck 3 and had a great time. I do not remember any noise but it was a quarantine deck that was sprayed occasionally. Seemed convenient enough for us but we were just happy to be cruising that week. May not be related but we both came down with covid (mild symptoms) when we got home. #worth it.
