  1. The simple fact is that P&O has now adopted UK Govt rules where-ever it could. So walking around in a hotel, shopping centre or enjoying pub, theatre etc... is the same as on-board. What has not gone away onboard yet is: - Quarantine Cabins still in place (some rule of 5% space needed which P&O have to follow) - No nightly turndown service (not sure why not back yet as staff levels must be back as Arcadia staff have moved onboard but it is probably a staffing issue. - No Photographers still - Kids club not operating normally (heard on Britannia 4 nighter some parents with multiple kids could not have them enrolled at same time so always had 1 of them with them so not ideal situation). I think everything else onboard is back to normal but probably missed something. The main thing is it is getting there.
  2. Free Wi-Fi perk is still there but in a different format. Instead of free hours we were given free wi-fi credit to use against any days or package we wanted.
  3. In the lift areas (and maybe a couple of other places) there are large interactive plasma screens that use the same functionality that people that don't want to use their phones can use instead. Obviously, they can ignore these too and go full human interaction mode (well in non Covid times they can). Cunard could easily make them look and feel like the information type screens outside venues showing next events & time and not make them look garish.
  4. Correct. No masks in P&O theatres (unless you want to of course)
  5. why does it have to be a lanyard or wristband???? That item is basically the same functionality as the cruise card. Cunard version could even be some kind of "gold card". Lots of scope for embedding the same functionality into any item.
  6. It is not a government rule but a local business rule. I went to 2 theatres within a day of each other and 1 said masks must be worn and the other optional. Either way P&O dropped their onboard mask rule and distancing rules for all new sailings from last Friday according to the Britannia entertainment crew.
  7. Just got off Britannia and dancing is allowed in the venues (and they were packed) and masks no longer needed onboard. Though not all the crew were on the same page as some announcements and notices in planners said things like masks to be worn in theatre / no dancing during live acts whilst there were other crew members at the theatre telling people masks were now compulsory and I saw Pulse encouraging folks onto the dancefloor.
  8. I have recently used both and found them both extremely useful in these "not normal cruising times". Probably OK to live without on small P&O and the Cunard ships because of the ease of walk-up dining but still having things already mentioned like onboard account etc... is useful. Having said all that they are rubbish (just better than the nothing they had before) and they need to get to the Princess medallion system which is excellent when working. I would still say that the medallion system would work on Cunard (and it is still optional and does not have to be used) but they would need to make the electric screens fit in elegantly on the ships.
