Please let me know if the drink package was honored. Also, was it difficult to get milkshakes/smoothies in the main dinning room or at the bar? Did you have to go to a designated location? What was the in cabin delight? How was that mocktail class?
Hi Tatiana. We just came home today, and I completely unplugged during vacay so I'm very sorry for the delay in responding. Absolutely no issues what-so-ever with obtaining any of the advertised drinks in the kids drink package 😊 However, it was not listed on the sea pass card (nor was my premium upgrade) so had to immediately go to Guest Services with a hard copy of proof of purchase so you may want to check that immediately when you pick up your cards.
No difficulties getting smoothies at any bar or dining room and thus did not have to go to any designated location. The in-cabin delight.....we never received it and I kept meaning to ask our stateroom attendant about it but forgot, and to be honest my son didn't care, lol. He is 16 and has Down Syndrome and was, quite simply, completely happy with his pop and water and smoothies! We did ask him about attending the mocktail class but he was not interested therefore we did not bother following up with this aspect of the package so to be honest I don't even know if it was actually offered! But for some reason, we had a mini-bar charge on our last day under my son's name! Will be following up with THAT tomorrow, lol. For us, the package was completely worth it. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful cruise 😊 Donna

Have a great time!!! 😊😊 Can't wait to read about your experiences. Am "unplugging" when we sail the Silhouette next week, so unfortunately will have to wait to catch up on your blog when we return later in February. We too have sailed Disney and the Edge so I am really looking forward to reading about your experiences and comparisons. Cheers 🍷

Hi KristyMisty. I echo jb008's recommendation of the Silent Disco. It really is a lot of fun!! 😊
I hope that you enjoy your first Celebrity cruise!! Our first Celebrity cruise was also on the Eclipse...she is a lovely ship

The nice thing about booking a cruise is all of the little steps in between that keep the excitment going.
Totally agree!!!

You can use the money to gamble and then cash out your winnings, if any.
Or, if you know anyone on the cruise who will be ending up with a bill, rather than credit, you can pay their bill and then have them pay you back.
otherwise, here is a list of things you can use OBC for
Wow! That is a great list, cruisestitch! And a smart idea about using it to pay someone else's bill and then be re-paid. I guess I never have to think too hard about what to do with OBC since we usually only ever have a couple or few hundred dollars so we can always find some way to spend it without too much thought.

Hi Tatiana84. We are sailing the first cruise after dry dock on the Silhouette, Feb 14, 2020. Given the issues I have read on threads with some Celebrity staff not being familiar with the new Drinks and More package, I will be printing a copy of what the Kids Package offers and taking it with me just in case as I believe it is a fairly new package.

Our TA just booked it for our son who is 16.

Thinking about booking 2 side-by-side cabins on Edge for our family (Us plus 2 teens) and trying to decide between connecting CC cabins in a less desirable location or non-connecting AQ or CC cabins in a more desirable location.
Do the connecting infinite verandah cabins just connect via a single doorway? I’m guessing since the balconies aren’t truly balconies, there’s no way to make one large balcony like you can do on some other ships,
You are correct.....the infinite verandah cabins connect via a single doorway inside the cabin and there is no way to make one large balcony like on the S class and M class ships. Even leaning out as far as you can on the IV, you cannot see onto the "balcony" next door, only talk to each other. It is much more private than a standard balcony.

Looking forward to reading your review. Having sailed both Disney and Celebrity, my personal experience was that both lines had excellent service and ships were very clean! However, IMHO the Celebrity had the edge (no pun intended) over Disney when it came to food. Enjoy your cruise..........the Edge is a beautiful ship!

We had a great cruise...the balcony was sensational, and I loved that we were covered from the rain, and shielded from the wind at all times.
Excellent! So glad you enjoyed your first Celebrity cruise and also that you liked the slant balcony. As a first time Celebrity cruiser, will you be posting a review? If so would love to read it.

Just found your review and loving it!!! Hoping to do a Celebrity cruise out of Sydney in the near future so very interested in your reports and will certainly be following along.
Have to give kudos to how you handle pre-cruise crisis! Pretty sure I would not handle those situations so well, lol. 😊
Really appreciate your great pics. Interesting to see the difference of the pictures of the Opera House depending on the day. My colleague is heading out on a cruise from Sydney in mid-January and is really concerned about the air quality.

Oh my goodness! So shocked and saddened to read this news. Only having "met" Marilyn through these threads, it was quickly evident what a kind and gracious woman she was. Always taking the time to respond to all questions and willingly share her vast knowledge with others, particularly concerning the Edge.
As others have noted, I too looked forward to reading any comments posted by Marilyn as they were always fair and fun and she never posted an unkind word. Had the greatest respect for her! Heartbreaking that she will not be sailing the Apex. Thoughts and condolences to her family. She will be missed. RIP vtcruising 😢

Thank you so much for the great review, hcat. Particularly appreciate your info about The West Deck in Aruba; think we will give it a try when we are there in Feb 2020. You mentioned that the beach was right there to go for a swim.....if you have a moment to answer, or anyone else who may have been to this restaurant, did you happen to notice if there were "change room" facilities at or near the restaurant, or is it better to simply wear clothes over your swimsuit? Thank you in advance. 😊

Happy Anniversary! 😊
Thoroughly enjoying your review. Will be interested in hearing about any shore activities you will be doing as we will be sailing the Silhouette ABC itinerary in Feb 2020. Always looking for good ideas of places that folks enjoy going to while in port.
Great pic of you two, btw! -

There are a number, perhaps 6 to 8, free movies on demand currently on Silhouette.
Thank you Oville 😊

Thanks! I cruise with my 88 yo mom... she gets such a kick out of it. It helps her find our cabin, too. LOL
LOL....that's great! I'm considering taking my almost 80 y.o. mother on a cruise and that is a brilliant way of helping someone on their first cruise to find their cabin (and just so there is no age discrimination, it would help me too as I am geographically challenged 😄)

Hi Deb. If you have a moment to check your in-room tv, could you possibly answer a question for me? Are there still free in-room movies and if so is it just one or two, or more like five or six? We sill be sailing on the Silhouette in Feb 2020 and our teenage son has Down Syndrome; having a movie to watch every couple of days will be offer some nice, quiet down-time for him for a bit. Much appreciated if you can help to answer this.
Really enjoying your review!!! 😊

We had a wonderful trip and just rolled with what Mother Nature threw at us. We got an extra day and a quarter in Tokyo to explore that we wouldn't have gotten without the typhoon. We laughed that we came all the way from Florida to get hit by a "hurricane" in Tokyo. Sometimes you're dealt lemons and you just have to figure out how to make lemonade (hint: a little vodka helps).
Love your attitude!!!!! 😊

Jim, perhaps a silly question, but if you have a moment to answer it would be greatly appreciated. There was a thread a while back where Celebrity cut the free movies, and after much advocacy on the part of many CC members (I'm sorry I cannot recall who started the thread so as to give proper credit), the free movies were reinstated. I think I recall reading on a post several weeks later that the number of free in-cabin movies has been quietly reduced back down to one or two.
Our 16 year old son who has Down Syndrome is accompanying us on our next cruise (Feb 14/20 Silhouette), so this is fairly important to us as watching a movie is a nice quiet in-room entertainment that he can enjoy every couple of days for a couple of hours of down-time. If you have the opportunity, would you mind reporting back if there are still some free in-room movies offered, and if so is it just one or two, or more like five or six? Thank you so very much!
As always, greatly enjoying your live review! Your pics are fabulous, and your comments and pics of the Edge make me realize that I need to go back and sail her again! Seven days truly was not enough to fully explore and enjoy everything she has to offer! Again, thank you for your great live report.......😊

Hello LoveThatCorgi. Brandon is not very adventurous with trying different things so he always ordered a "strawberry smoothie" and the bartender basically just made a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri. Sorry I cannot offer specifics as pertains to any of the other flavoured mocktails.
