Are you sure you brought your luggage home?

Wow, this is the most elaborate scheme to get someone who's luggage he stole to give him the combination of the lock. :classic_biggrin:

J/K, hope you get the lock off if it is your luggage.

  2. Last year at Port Canaveral, we got there shortly before 9 am and the doors weren't open yet.  We waited behind 200 people or so standing on a platform that didn't hold that many.  The crowd had overflowed onto the escalator platform but it didn't stop people from using it.  So every time a few more people, ignoring the advice from people on the platform, tried coming up the escalator there would be a game of human bowling that I enjoyed watching from stairs :P.  Once the doors opened it took less than 20 minutes for us to get all checked in but we waited nearly two hours to get on the ship.  They gave you a card with a letter or number on it and started boarding the ship by those cards after they let the haven people on.  From what I remember from Miami was that it was very similar but the terminal was smaller, thus more crowded where you waited to board after checking in.

  3. If I had to guess, I would say that they start filling the upgrades from the top to the bottom. For instance, they would do the H2 to H1 upgrades first, if there aren't any then it would be H3 to H1 then H4 to H1 so on.  Then H3 to H2, H4 to H2....  you get the picture.  Every time there is an upgrade confirmed their original room becomes available for a lower room to upgrade to.  That is why every cruise would have different prices for what upgrade bids were accepted or not.

Anyone else notice your room number and category missing from the vacation summary? I know it was there early this morning but now its missing off my vacation summary page. My documents still show it the room, just curious why its not showing up on the page anymore.

Yes I am obsessed with my upcoming cruise I look at it all the time.

Yup, I do the same thing.  And it creates a hole in the pit of my stomach because I get so excited and impatient.  My summary still shows my room though. 30 days to go, WC on the Getaway!

  5. I was on the Epic in February and have no complaints.  The waiting in the MDR might have a lot to do with the time as well.  We always ate early so it wasn't ever a problem.  We also sailed on the Epic in 2012 which was our first cruise on a line different from Carnival.  I had sailed on the Liberty of the Seas twice after that and the Epic was my favorite out of all of them.  2018 wasn't as good as 2012 though, I think it was because in 2012 they had much better entertainment including the Blue Man Group.  Different people have different opinions but I will exclusively sail with NCL until other lines start offering perks like the UBP for free.

  6. One year I realized that I had forgot to pack the cameras.  I had to buy one off the ship that was waterproof to use while snorkeling.  It didn't turn out very well at all.  There wasn't a very large selection nor was I able to do any research or read reviews.  The camera was ok but it stopped working after using it in the water a few times.  It turned out to be a common problem with the model and not the specific camera I bought, I found out about it after the cruise was over.  It was on a RCL cruise not Norwegian.  The photo shop manager originally gave me a hassle about returning it but when I brought it back a second time and demonstrated the failure, they gave me my money back.  Now I just start a list on my phone of things I want to pack as I think about it and run threw the list as I start to pack a few days before to avoid that type of situation again.

    Nice, that's neat.

Holy cow, we're one of 6 ships in Cozumel on the same day.  😕

Yeah Cozumel gets packed.  Though there are two different ports that are about a mile apart or so.  I was there this past February on the Epic and I believe the Harmony of the Seas was one of the ships at the other port.  We drove right past the other port on an excursion to Playa Maya.  Might have been 6 ships there that day too, 4 and 2.

I was thinking that the lower bid range is for Haven guests who are bidding on other Haven Suites. Maybe the application was showing both widgets accidentally...Does bidding for an H3 start at 300 for those who booked lower-level Haven rooms?

That is quite possible.  I just checked my upgrade options and the H2 and H3 both start at $1500 pp.  I'm currently booked in a mid-ship Balcony.

We are traveling on the Getaway in Jan 2019. Does anyone know if this ship specifically has a Splash Zone for little ones (< 2 years old) still in diapers?

    Thanks!

When is your sailing?  I'll be on the 13-20 cruise.

From my experience, the rules say no diapers in any pool.  However, that has not stopped a lot of people and I still see them. And I have never seen a crew member try to stop it.

  10. For me, it is all about where it saves the most money.  UDP is a given because as soon as my wife steps aboard she becomes an alcoholic :P.  The SDP while probably worth more doesn't make sense for us because there are enough different options for free dining.  I'm on a cruise so I go off the grid, no internet for me.  The airfare from Detroit Metro wasn't one of the places where the reduced airfare saved us anything.  We usually find one excursion on every island so it made sense last time, it saves us $150 - $200 depending on how many stops.  Our next cruise though we went with the 3rd guest stays for free option for my 9 yr old son and that saved us quite a bit.

I have purchased the FCC before, but this time I am thinking of booking my next cruise while on board. I'm curious though, what the advantages are. I have never booked a cruise on a cruise. Am I better off doing it on the cruise, or waiting until I get home? I am still going to buy 4 FCC

We purchased our next cruise (Getaway 13-20 January) on our last cruise.  At that time we got 1 free upgrade which was a regular balcony to a mid-ship balcony.  The information is on the last page of the cruise docs listed under CruiseNext Ultimate but it just says "additional offer".
