  1. Thanks. I didn't know we got 1 day of internet. It's been a while since we have cruised on Royal.
  2. I notice that is for Diamond Plus members. Is it the same for us lowly Diamond members? 😀
  3. Can anyone tell me what the maximum value of their daily free drinks is for diamond members on Royal Caribbean. Their website simply states "Up to a set value" "Each day of the cruise, Diamond members receive four (4) complimentary drink vouchers, Diamond Plus members receive five (5) complimentary drink vouchers, and Pinnacle Club members receive six (6) complimentary vouchers up to a set value" TIA Tommy
  4. With the Silver Whisper going under the harbour bridge.
  5. There will be 131 pax staying on for the next cruise.
  6. Hi Geoff Checked for you and Leny left at the start of this cruise.
  7. So the helicopters on Suva didn't have winching facilities and we don't have a helipad. We are heading back to Suva. Will miss Mystery Island tomorrow and head straight back to Sydney.
  8. Top decks evacuated for an incoming helicopter for medi-evac. Majestic Princess
  9. On our current cruise on Majestic Princess they asked to see our proof of insurance. We had the cover sheet printed showing dates etc. They asked if it covered cruising and covid. Also repatriation. We simply answered their questions and all was good. We did have the full policy in PDF on the phone in case they wanted to see it.
  10. Hi Jeff I haven't seen or heard any increase in coughing etc during the cruise except for the usual ones you get on a ship. Also you will be pleased to hear that embarkation was fantastic. 20 minutes from uber to Alfredo's.
  11. I will just say that it didn't bother me wearing a mask whilst indoors. There was basically no "sip and cover" Once sat at a table the masks stayed off. I would say that mask compliance would have been around 95%. Just happy to be cruising again.
  12. Official from Princess From February 16, the requirement for all guests and crew to wear masks in all indoor settings for voyages 10 nights or longer has been relaxed, and is no longer mandatory. Some guests and crew members may still choose to wear masks voluntarily, and is not a negative reflection on them. Masking requirements may change at any time, so we ask for flexibility from our guests. Guests are advised to check with Guest Services if they have any concerns.
  13. On board the Majestic Princess. Just been informed (unofficially) that this is the last cruise where masks will be mandatory. After this cruise it will be up to the individual.
  14. "Their attempt to keep locals supplied with eggs reached boiling point when a large number of Azamara Quest crew, including the captain, arrived out the front of the George St store on Sunday." 🤣 https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/better-business/131101598/no-yolk-store-scrambles-to-stop-cruise-employees-buying-up-towns-egg-supply
  15. When you exit the terminal turn left and take the elevator to the top floor.(Level 3 I think) That's where the taxi rank is. There are normally lots of taxis waiting. https://www.portauthoritynsw.com.au/cruise/cruising-faq/overseas-passenger-terminal/
  16. Yes I had no problem using a voucher for a speciality restaurant. It worked perfectly. It's just strange that Princess clearly state on their web site that you can use OBC as well. It's no big deal I just wanted to try it and see if it worked.
  17. Just an update. So I booked a speciality restaurant to see what would happen. There was no option regarding payment. And despite their website stating: "You can also apply Onboard Credit toward your specialty dining reservation pre-cruise using Dine My Wayâ„  in the MedallionClass app." I can now see a payment pending on my cc statement. So I guess the answer to my question is NO you can't use OBC for speciality restaurants prior to boarding.
  18. One further question: I was under the impression that On Board Credit could only be used On Board. But I have just read this on the princess site. So I can book speciality restaurants and shorex using OBC ?
  19. Thanks for the replies. It is non-refundable OBC. For some reason I was of the understanding that it couldn't be used in the casino. So basically you could "launder" it on the Roulette table? Half red, half black, and cash it in? 🤔
  20. On all of our previous cruises with Princess we have rarely, if ever, had any OBC. Now we find with our next three cruise we have a few hundred dollars to spend on each. So my question is: Where can we spend it? We have a Plus package so we don't need it for drinks. (Except maybe if we want a more expensive wine maybe) We have a speciality restaurant booked (complimentary) and I imagine it will be difficult getting another booking because of the promos that have been happening. Of the shore excursions we might have been interested in most are booked out or waitlisted. So.... can we spend it in the shop franchises? Effy's, Duty free etc? Can it be used in the casino? Can we "gift" it to crew members as an additional gratuity? Any other ideas? Cheers Tommy
  21. Prior to the update it wouldn't let me enter my "Preferred name" Now it will let me. 🤩 The time till cruising is still out though.
  22. Thanks Bizziecruzer. Good tip about using your cabin number.
