Thank you for your advice. I think one of the issues could be because I used an iPhone/iPad to apply, not a laptop, which I don’t have. I wonder how many iPhone/IPad users have successfully gotten their visas. Those who successfully received their visas used their laptops, including you.

I read the (mostly negative, of course) reviews on Trust Pilot. A lot of users attached their passports, the system accepted them, got confirmed and paid for their applications, and learned the next day that their passports were rejected, and they had to reattach them. Some lost as much as $100, which means they failed 4 times for a single entry visa.

i tried again yesterday, using all the tips I have learned along the way. I successful attached my passport but I’m concerned about going to the next step, which is confirm and pay. It’s now in draft form I. still have time to do so - my cruise is not until October 16, and there are 2 cruises before mine, on September 26 and October 6, with identical itineraries. So I’ll wait to see how Celebrity will handle the visas then.

Once again, thank you for your time.

I had no problems with the OFFICIAL evisa site.

On the Beyond, with a sharpie in hand "Ms. Capt Kate, huge fan, would you mind autographing this Celebrity tote bag?  <reaches inside the tote to pull out a plate> Would you also sign this plate I TOTALLY brought from home?  Sign just under where it says Mast Grill"  BOOM, just turned $14 into $41 🙃

MAST GRILL automatically renders it worthless. Toxic waste!

Ever hear of depreciation?  It's accounting 101.  It would take staff 5 seconds to figure out the value of the "stolen" items.

Myself, I'm shopping for some gently used Celebrity shampoo bottles.  😁

I can offer a set of  three Bigelow Aqua Class Shampoo/Body Wash/Conditioner. Completely full (had them refilled before pocketing them) - $30 all in. 👌

Believe it or not, your choice.

The reason for the arrest was because of the total dollar amount of what was being taken.

Even less believable. How would they be able to attach a realistic value to a used plate. Let alone a high enough value to warrant an arrest.

I don’t doubt that guy telling you that, however I doubt the authenticity of that story. In other words: He lied. 😉

I can't think of a time we've even taken gifts back, necklace, wallet, tote and even the crappy bubbly often in our room, we just leave it all behind.  And to think between all our sailings we could be $67 richer 😅

I should have done that from day one and used the proceeds to subsidize my casino losses.

I use one of those every time I cruise to carry ID (Passport Card), CC, and calling cards.  X is the only cruise line I have ever got them from.  Don't know if X still gives them out, but I still have a few left.  Older ones lasted longer than newer ones.

They give then out in Concierge Class and Suites afaik. Not AQ.

We were told by the Hotel Director on a X ship a few years ago that a room steward came into a passenger’s cabin to clean and found their suitcase open on the floor. Inside the suitcase was an entire set of X place settings for 12 people. The local authorities were notified and were waiting for him at the Terminal at debarkation. He was arrested.

So be careful if you're pinching the plates. 😉

Meh I don’t buy that story. For one, they (X) would have simply told the guest to return the items, if he refuses then yes police will be called.

Customs doesn’t care about bringing plates into the county and law enforcement wouldn’t care if the company knew about it but didn’t ask the customer to return the stuff first.

Gobsmacked! That much for used water bottles acquired for nothing!

I should have played closer attention to this in the past. 😄

I was looking for offers from people who sell their ship models, but there don't seem to be many available at reasonable prices (and the pricing onboard is obscene).

I thought the same so I called the casino dept and asked, they said they upped the requirements but they're (obviously) lower if I play slots (lol)

That would make sense based on the higher house edge and the "rapid-fire" fashion of slot bets that might exceed even $50/hand.

I don't particularly enjoy playing slots, but as you say, the offers are juicier, and you're able to properly track your points activity, unlike table games.

I have received 10x comps to gambling losses.    Unheard of in the gaming industry to get so much for so little.    We have taken every cruise offered!

Same. I have now sailed on 11 cruises free of charge and adding up all my W/L for these 3 years I'm down a total of $2470. 3x Veranda, 1x Concierge, 7x Aqua Class. That's a win in my book.

I'm a lowly Amethyst, offers have been good until now. I guess I could use the interior cabin offers, try move-up to AQ and just cancel if it doesn't go through.

What people also need to know about infrared saunas is that unlike a traditional Swedish/Finnish sauna the room itself isn't going to be particularly hot. Just like an infrared heater made for the home you have to be sitting directly Infront of the heating element in order to feel the heat. So in the case of an infrared sauna you have to sit DIRECTLY with you back in front of one of the infrared heaters. This way the heat radiates all over your back and throughout your body.

For the maximum effect, yes. Otherwise, there is also a bench in front of the window without infrared panels. I'm really not a big sauna type because it's usually too hot for me but the way they built the "DESERT" room is very comfortable.

Interesting.  You have a woke brigade?  Is it similiar to the US?

Anyways gambling pays for our state taxes.  So no complaints here.

Gambling on cruise ships doesn't contribute to any public purse though, and there is no regulation of the tables/slots either.

And exactly why I don’t gamble.

To be fair, the breakage is usually ~ 20% on slots over a longer play period. Factoring in wins and bonuses. Basically for $1000 bankroll you can have ~ $5000 coin in until it's all gone. If you win a jackpot then of course you can get lucky. But if you get a free Aqua Class Voyage for that that's still $6000 less than those revenue pax pay.
