  1. Oh that sounds alright. Thanks for your input!
  2. Hi We booked a Sunset Veranda - deck 10 on Celebrity Equinox. I noticed in pics, the hang over from the outdoor eating area off of the buffet appears to hang over the top decks creating shade on the balcony. Would we still get the shade from the over hang on deck 10? Our cabin is 1407. We still have an opportunity to drop down to deck 9 if we need to. I would like to sit out on our balcony without the over hang above our heads. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  3. Everyone's different. But for us, we established tight friendships over the years and these were with our table mates. We became tight over the cruise. It was great! We've never had a bad experience.
  4. Thanks to all who replied. I think we'll just stick with our our cruise lines. This is what we really like over land based all inclusive. We enjoy meeting other people and sitting at a table of 6 or 8 where we get the opportunity to know them and our same waiter throughout the cruise.
  5. Thanks for you reply. Then are you dining alone or do they seat you with others? It would just be my husband and I.
  6. We are wanting to sail the Mediterranean/Greek Islands in 2025. We're used to dining on other ships with our fixed dining times. This means same table, same table mates and same waiters throughout the cruise. We really enjoy this because there is no waiting to be seated, you just walk right into the dining room and go to your table. We get to meet and develop friendships with our table mates and a relationship with out waiter. I understand that NCL does not do this but instead does just the anytime dining. What is it like on NCL? Are you waiting to be seated 10 min, 20 min or 30? or do you need to make reservations each night?
  7. I totally agree with Georgia_Peache. It's so port sensitive, that we can't take the risk of sleepless nights. However it would have been nice to be on a new ship. What's the deal anyway?! Why can't they just make them the way they use to? As word travels fast, I'm wondering if this is going to effect how many choose these ships moving forward?
  8. Thanks to all who replied. It really seems like it's hit and miss. We were planning on Mediterranean cruise. To fly all that way plus money for a cruise, I think we'll stick with the older ships where we know we'll have a good night sleep.
  9. Hello We were thinking of booking a cruise on the new Ascent until I read some people saying that they were hearing noises from their cabin at night, like someone banging on a pipe. These complaints were coming from both ships. A friend of mine got off of the Beyond last month and she said the same thing. So I'm wondering if it's just certain cabins or certain areas on the ship that are experiencing this noise or are all cabins hearing it? Your feedback, especially anyone who's been on the Ascent is greatly appreciated.
  10. Ohhh what a great idea!! Thanks, I'll pick some up!
  11. I don't mean to change the topic, but I heard that we're not allowed to bring a travelling steamer on board, so without spending money to get the wrinkles out of our clothes, does anyone one have any tricks? Especially on formal night or really any evening, I don't want to walk around looking like we've slept in our clothes. Thanks for any help you can offer
  12. I totally agree with you!!
  13. Thanks so much for your input. It's fun when everyone participates, but honestly it's a lot easier leaving it at home, less baggage to lug through the airport. I really appreciate your feedback, have a great evening!
  14. Just called to sign ourselves up for the Captain's Club and we don't have enough points for the 90 min of internet. We're only at the classic level. Oh well LOL!!
  15. Before covid, we use to cruise a lot with Carnival and we did a couple of Princess too. Anyhow everyone dressed up on formal nights, I loved it! Now fast forward 18mths ago - after covid, we did a Mexican cruise on Navigator of the Seas and both my husband and I felt over dressed and felt like the odd duck on both formal nights as nobody at our table dressed up in their formal wear. We even found that only a very small portion of passengers actually did dress up. So for this cruise - Celebrity Equinox leaving March 23rd, do people still dress up on formal nights on Celebrity? Thanks for your help, just trying to get a grip if we should pack our formal wear or not. We do enjoy our formal nights but we won't pack it if most people won't be in their formal wear. Thanks for any input you can offer 🙂
  16. We've done many cruises in the past (this is only our 2nd Celebrity) but never until this one cruise had a late check time which is why I made my post. With that being said I'm already aware of what to pack in my carry-on, but thank you for mentioning anyway as I know you were not aware of my cruising past. However saving your chair with your large beach chair clips and then going to a leisurely breakfast?! I find that rude to others who have already eaten and now looking for a chair. Don't be a chair hogger!! Secondly you're telling me and whoever else to skip the hand washing station??!!! Are you serious??!!! That is simply disgusting unless you plan on using latex gloves when you serve yourself food. I just hope that everyone else out there knows the importance of basic hygiene! Afterall, we all use the same serving utensils, unless that's changed.
  17. Thanks to all that wrote in. To those who made a comment of me cutting the line, we would never do that on purpose, that's just rude and insensitive and it's not what I meant. For the other folks, you've helped me decide on what to do, so thank you. Our check out time is at 11am, we'll definitely take our time and even ask for a late check out if possible - not sure if we'll get that or not. We'll eventually head over to that end - probably closer to 1pm. I'll mention it to the personnel there that our time is not till 2pm and if we need to sit back and wait, it'll be more entertaining people watching than sitting in the hotel lobby bored, if they tell us to go ahead, because of lack of people then we will. I will leave it up to them.
  18. Oh great to know!! We'll go for 12:30 - 1ish. Thanks:)
  19. I'm only going to use it if a client texts me, all my emails are going to our volunteer who will answer any questions. Other than that, I'm unplugged for my holiday! Anyone want to see pics, they can see them after our vacation.
  20. Ahh, on the app under my name says "Captain's Club - Are you in the Club?" I haven't joined. Do I join to see my points?
  21. We're going on Celebrity Equinox for March 23rd sale. Our check in time on embarkation day is 2pm. Unfortunately we couldn't get any earlier. We would love to get on board for lunch, even an hour earlier would be great. If we did show up for 1pm, how big of an issue would it be, or would we have to wait till 2pm before we board? This is our second sail with Celebrity so I don't think we have any special status. Thanks for your help 🙂
  22. Doghog - when you say Online Account, are you referring to one's profile? I can't seem to find it. When I clicked onto Profile and then saw My Loyalty, but it was asking Captain's Club # and Crown and Anchor Society. Is this the right place or do I get it elsewhere? I suppose I could always call in and ask. Thanks for your help 🙂
  23. How can we tell which status we are? It would be nice to receive 90 min free wifi throughout the cruise. That's more than enough time I would need. I really only need it for business, in case of emergency. This is our second Celebrity Cruise and we did one RCCL cruise. On our print out where it says Booking Status, all it says is Booked. Thanks for any help you can offer 🙂
