We wonder what the situation was for the next bunch of cruisers on the subsequent Bergen - Stockholm . If we couldn't get out of Bergen there had to be issues with getting in. Scuttlebutt had it that Jupiter delayed sailing for a day.

We sat around (theater, etc.) until 3 pm. Then to Hotel Norge for two nights. Then train to Oslo and Clarion Hub for four nights. About 150 - 200 in our "group" of impacted travelers. People "got out" a few at a time, often with very weird flight arrangements and long layovers (one couple got 17 hours at JFK!). Lunches and dinners at decent restaurants mess hall style. We got home yesterday after flying all day and having to deal with the insanity that is AMS & ORD. Pretty good cruise overall but too many straws on the camel's back --- Gulf of Finland turned into two nights in Oslo (Mariehamn cancelled and Bornholm missed), spotty service in Manfredi's and other annoyances. Viking is not yet back on their game.

Disembarking in Bergen. Iceland extension cancelled due to SAS strike. They are going to put us up in a hotel until flights, etc. sorted out. Lots of unhappy campers.

I don't see a future menu option. Checked every day and never saw lobster of any kind in The Restaurant. No idea why. Maybe next cruise?

We had 7000 booked on a previous try. Far end of corridor appealed to us (plus "secret" door to explorers). Closer to lifts might be considered. Currently in 8000 and everything just fine.

Left on bed in morning - back next afternoon.

Between Gdansk and the Berlin port we turned around and backtracked for awhile. Could not dock at Bornholm due to winds so sailed around the island to synch up.

We sailed out of Stockholm and headed (presumably) for Gdansk. The following day we sailed down the west coast of Gotland then rounded the bottom and sailed north on the east side. Later we turned back south on what appeared to be track we would have been on had we sailed from Tallinn. Can one of the resident mariners explain what was going on there? Why sail backwards?

Probably neither. Our "final" itinerary had us departing Stockholm two days in a row. It also had us on an excursion one hour after the ship sailed. Go figure.

Are the "premium" wines worth the extra $25 pp? We are not wine snobs but don't mind spending "well spent" $$$.
