Thanks so much for the replies! I will check the trip report

Just wondering how was your stay, and also what did you do in "leisure" time? We will be there 2 nights, with the Natural History tour on the first morning. Thanks in advance!
-
Thanks everyone for the replies.....you answered my questions!
-
We are also booked on the Direct to Wilderness as part of our Princess cruisetour……..So do you stay at your table for the whole trip? Is this where you eat lunch or is there a separate space for dining? Also can you use a credit/debit card on the train or do you need cash? Thanks

I just went and selected "grand new england cruises" and it came back with several sailings starting at $6470. Prices right there.
Ok I will try again......it seems before it wanted me to Make an account before showing prices......maybe I was doing something wrong! Thanks again!

Thanks again so much......I did go to their website, but no prices like most other cruise lines.

Thanks for the replies! Like I said before I am just starting my research, maybe to cruise in the next 2 years and trying to start with my options. I have cruised Carnival, and going on Alaska cruise this summer with Princess, so I will be looking into "future" cruise with them as well. I can't seem to find any info on American Cruise Lines.

We are not on RC, but on Princess, and no.....our meals "on land" are not included.
-
No we are booked......this is part of our Princess cruise. Thanks for the info!

Generally the lunch stop is at Caribou Crossing. Lunch is BBQ chicken with side dishes. They also serve fresh made donuts. Here is a link that you can look at that will give you a feel for the place.
Thank you so much!

Does anyone have more information on this excursion? We are booked thru Princess.....bus ride up, train back and will get lunch......my question is, do you get lunch on the train? Or at one of the stops? What are the choices? I really can't find any info. Thanks!

Any places nearby (walking distance) to eat? Thanks!

Starting my research into a New England cruise and would love some guidance...….which cruise line do you like best and why? Would love to embark out of Portland and see a "harbors" type cruise. Any suggestions appreciated!

OP, you must have been unlucky. Muster drills are always scheduled about 45 minutes to an hour before sail away. They want the drill out of the way before setting sail.
I have never heard of a muster starting right at sail away. However I’ve heard of musters still going on during sail away. Usually it’s because some know-it-all passengers trying to skip muster. They won’t start the drill until everyone is present and accounted for.
I’ve never missed a sail away due to muster. But it has happened. OP, you said you were on Carnival for your first two cruises. Where were you sailing from? I’ve heard Carnival sailing from specific ports have a high percentage of long musters affecting sail aways.
First Carnival was out of Mobile, AL, second one was out of New Orleans. Really stinks when the ship is sailing away, and you are stuck behind 25 other people at the muster station having to listen to the broadcast....I know it has to be done, but was just disappointed that's how it happened with us. Maybe this time will be different. I will check into as soon as we embark.

We have the private (6 person) whale watching tour booked at Juneau thru Princess......how do I know who the tour is actually with? Will Princess give me this info? Or will we have to search the pier for someone holding our name on a sign?
Thanks

Hi.....I've been on 2 cruises (both Carnival) but will be on Princess this go 'round...…..previous cruises, the muster drill was very disappointing. LOL, not like you see on TV, with everyone gathering to wave goodbye on deck to those on shore......but as your ship is pulling out, you are hoarded like cattle to your muster station and miss all the wonder of sailing away.
Am I missing something?

Hi...….was wondering if anyone could give me any insight as to the dining on the train from Whittier to Denali as part of our Royal Princess Cruise/tour? Trying to get information for my group as to what you can order, do you go to a different rail car to eat? Any info would be appreciated!

They appear to be exactly $.01 cent less expensive than the Princess bands purchased on board.
For a penny it seems to me the better choice would be to have one that is specifically designed for the OM device.
Am I missing something?
Thank you!

Thanks so much for the picture! Just wanted to compare them to the ones on Amazon. The price is very close when comparing the two, however Amazon has more colors to choose from. I wear an apple watch with that type of band everyday, so I think I would prefer the wristband over the clip (afraid I would lose it, lol). Appreciate the information.
Where are they listed (or what are they called I should ask) on Amazon? I can't find any that look anything like the picture above
