I predict:
There will be food.
And I will eat it!

Maybe this changed this year, or after the autotip was started! :D

For breakfast they do not ask for your seapass since there is no charge for breakfast. Why would they ask for it when there is no reason to charge you? If you purchased orange juice or soda or something like that which required a charge then yes, they would require it. But for breakfast there is no reason that you even need to show your card.
But I always leave a few dollars on the table when a waitperson has been extra good.
I have always been asked for my SeaPass card at JR whether there was a charge or not. We always put a few dollars tip on the SPC when we went.

As I have indicated earlier, no fault of RCCL, we showed up at the dining room finding our 4 families got assigned to 3 different tables. 2 kids were at one, 5 others were at a second table (with 4 other strangers) and my DW was stuck with the third all by herself. And of course the three tables were under the care of two teams of wait staff and the head waiter were no where to be found...and the kids were starving!!! PANIC (at least the waiters were).
Reason - all 30 people booked through the same TA in Toronto and they linked us all up as 1 group. 4 out of the 11 families didn't know the other 7 and by now (6:30) there were 17 unhappy cruisers.
Somehow the dining room staff pulled a few strings and 10 minutes later the 9 of us were comfortably seated at table 579 under the capable hands of Waiter Laurentia from Romania and Assistant Waiter Igor from Macedonia.
The story did not end here. We had a 4th family with us and the MDR table assignment mix up would continue on the next night...that would be in my Day 2 review.
I normally have lots of pictures on what I eat. But Day 1 was such a mess I had actually forgotten about it until dessert - BBB Creme Brûlée (Bailey's Brûlée with caramelized Banana)
More to come...
That is one reason why one of our first stops after boarding is going to check out our dining arrangements. If they are not correct we can meet the Head Waiter to get in fixed before dinner!

What a great thread! Nice to get an inside look at Drydock operations.

Well, we also purchased a NCC with the intention of applying it towards a summer 2015 cruise on Quantum from NJ, and the future cruise consultant onboard Jewel last week gave us different info than you received. He said Quantum is replacing Explorer full-time, and that those bookings will open up this fall.
I love this idea! :)
Hey DonnaK,
We are looking at booking when the August 2015 schedule comes out. Let me know when you are thinking about sailing and maybe we can schedule the same week! :).
BTW, Nice Pic's from your last cruise. Nice to see the family is doing well!

This get's my vote! Great Job, I hope Allure is just as good!

I remember them being very strict on Liberty this past August. They had a few kids close but they did not let them on.

From what I've seen they will not allow her to take part in the Teen Club Activities. We were on Allure in 2012 and they did not let a newly turned 18 yo join in. Maybe you can check on your Roll Call for other kids her age and set up some type of meet and greet for them.
