Many experienced cruisers book their own excursions frequently joining other cruisers from their roll calls. I do some on my own, some with roll call members and some thru RCCL. Check your roll call and see if anyone is looking for other cruisers to join them. On two occasions joined with others and hired a guide when we got off the ship, but this can be risky depending on the port(s). Join the roll call for your cruise and then explore your options. Happy Sails to you and Mother.
Thanks. I usually book only one or two excursions through cruise planner but that’s when I’m going to only 3 ports. This one is different. Plus I looked just to take trains in most places to get to a main attraction I wanna go to is cheaper but afraid get lost. Lol

I’m going on a 7 day Western Mediterranean cruise out of Barcelona in September. We’re in port 5 out of the 7 days. My question is, is it better to book shore excursions through cruise planner or on my own? If I do it through cruise planner it’s going to be pretty expensive for my Mother and I.

I was told you can be notified right till the morning of departure for royal up offer being accepted.

So hypothetical here to plan ahead a little. We have a bid in and lets say it gets accepted 24 hours out and we are at our hotel. How are the bag tags handled? Would we need to find a way to get new tags made at the hotel?
I really doubt our bid will be accepted, but want to be prepared if it is.
They will take care of it at the port. I had the same question when I called Royal. No worries.

7 nights out of New Orleans. I was just surprised to receive a RoyalUp offer this close to sailing.
They want to sell those empty rooms for more money if they can. Lol I’m 57 days out and got the offer for our cruise yesterday.

I got the Royal Offer email today. We’re booked for a balcony and I put in a bid of $50 for a larger spacious room with balcony. No biggie to me as I got the original room cheap so it’s no biggie if I get it. It will suck if I have to wait till the morning of my cruise to find out what cabin we get.

Why two?
Two different colours, also like stated above in case of a blow out. They don’t take up much room in my suit case or weigh much.

Congratulations. I was only 2 years at Gagetown before my knees blew up. Can I assume he knows the perks with luggage on Air Canada and Via Rail?
Aww that sucks. Oh yes I know the perks. We use them all the time.

There should be an option on your SetSail pass to save it to your wallet.
Thanks. Don’t sail for 64 days, have muster station but no room or deck yet. All cabins are booked except suites now. So thinking any day now.

We don’t eat at MDR and always eat at Windjammer. The selection is great, quality is good, and love theme nights. Pasta station, Mongolian grill, and the selection of desserts. What more could you ask for. I like it because I can eat a little of everything if I want.

Either use an app or if you have an iPhone simply save it to your wallet. The code will be your booking number - cabin number (if assigned).
How do I save to my iPhone wallet?

We just purchased a Mediterranean cruise for September 20, 2020 on the Allure of the Seas. We are definitely going to purchase a drink package, what are your experiences with black Friday deals?
I’m on the same cruise with my

I will rewear solid coloured bottoms too. I usually pack for a 7 day cruise:
2 swim suits
5 sun dresses
swim suit coverup
2 capris
2 shorts
3 tank tops
3 tshirts
2 flip flops
1 running shoes for excursions
1 dress for formal night & a pair of heels
1 pair of jeans to fly in and home in with a hoodie. -
76 till Harmony and 258 on the Allure

We have GTY balcony for our cruise in March, it’s paid in full but still no assigned cabin.

It totally varies. For my upcoming one, I seem to have gotten it last week. I've been working a lot so I haven't been following as closely.
The assignment is ... ok. I like my position in the ship though not the deck. I could definitely be assigned worse. I'm under other cabins and in a decent part of the ship. This is my second time doing it.
I think in next time if the price difference isn't huge, I'll pick my stateroom but I also might do this again. I'll base it all on price and how much I care on a specific cruise or based on who I am traveling with.
This is my first time doing this and it was a huge savings so I did it. This is also my second time cruising with RC. I looked online and the good thing about it Harmony balcony cabins are not blocked by life boats which is a good thing

Thanks. We don’t sail till March 2020 on the Harmony

How long after paying your cruise off will they assign your guaranteed balcony cabin? First time ever purchasing a guaranteed cabin. Sorry if this has been asked before but I tried searching.

This is why I always fly in a day or two before depart. Especially winter months

It’s myself, my husband, my brother in-law, sister in-law and my Mom. We are thinking Mediterranean cruise in 2021. As we all have cruises next year already planned. So it would be whatever boat is doing that cruise. I’m already on the Allure next sept for a Western Mediterranean cruise.

I’m trying to plan a cruise for my family, 5 adults. (2 couples and my Mom) What is the best option cabins with joining doors or would a suite be best? Never stayed in a suite before only cabins. Can you share your experience with both? Thanks in advance

Shorts, tank tops, capris, sun dresses.
