  1. Not a "Headliner" though he is to us; a shout-out to Kelly Goodrich.  Kelly is a piano bar entertainer who is now nine years under contract with Royal Caribbean.  You will generally find him in the Schooner Bar where he plays 6 night weekly and does tribute shows.  Neal Diamond, Jimmy Buffet, Elvis, The Beetles and Elton John are among the entertainers he does tributes to.  He's always good!

  2. You DO NOT need your printed cruise docs.  If you want them bad enough, if you have access to a pc and a printer, go to the Royal Caribbean site, log in, and you can print them yourself. Actually a waste of paper.

Your passports and completed Royal Caribbean Ap is really all you need.

Years ago M-M were fun, last cruise on the Freedom 10 people showed up and just one rep from RCI who was there ten mins and left. I think the M-M days our about over..

I think that participation in the M&M's is directly related to participation in the Roll Calls.  We had over 65 participants in our Allure cruise 5 weeks ago.  BTW, Red, White and Champagne were among the prizes.

    2. Personally, I recommend doing some research and getting a TA.  They'll handle rate changes for you.  If you want to go through Royal, then you can cancel and rebook up until the final payment date.  However, it will be on YOU to monitor, not the cruiseline.  I have a TA do it, so I'm not sure if it freezes once you make your final payment or not.  If it does, I would personally hold off on final payment until the last day to be able to cancel and rebook.

You DO NOT have to cancel and re-book.  Up until Final Payment Date (not the date you made final payment if you do that early) just ask for the price drop. The amount you paid in excess of the new rate will be refunded to the credit card you originally used. You will keep your cabin and same reservation number and you will keep any benefits that were applicable at the time you originally booked. Any reservations you have made through Cruise Planner will remain

    . (DO NOT CANCEL.)

  5. I use Special Needs at Sea for a scooter quite often.  Since you have already booked the scooter for Allure out of Ft Lauderdale, be sure to call them back with your booking info and request that the scooter be made available in the terminal.  If you do not, they will have it waiting in the cabin.  (In the terminal is preferred.)

Hey there!!!  Getting closer to our cruise on the Freedom Of the Seas on November 10 and had a question.  My husband uses a Cpap Machine with a long cord on it.  I am wondering if anybody knows where the plugs are near the bed and if they are close enough.  I could bring an extension cord, but hoping not to have to.   Thanks for any info you can give.

Do not bring an extension cord.  In all likelihood, it will be confiscated.  When you meet your cabin attendant, ask him for the extension RCCL provides and, if necessary, he will also provide you with distilled water.

We sail on the Allure in a week, Aug 25th, will be our first time on the Allure and in a Jr Suite and are now Emerald.  We have sailed on the Harmony twice so have a good idea what the ship will be like and will really miss Jamie's Italian, we do not like Giovanni's.  We leave from Ft Lauderdale our boarding pass shows 1 pm check in time but I think we get priority boarding being Emerald and having a Jr Suite.  Anyway were excited for a new ship and a Jr Suite, if anyone has sailed in a Jr Suite or being Emerald out of Ft Lauderdale on the Allure please let us know if you were able to check in and board the ship early.  Thanks!

Check-in time is suggested.  They do not enforce check-in.  You should be able to board at some time between 10:30 and 11:00.  Port Everglades is a breeze!

Excellent, just booked my parking for less than $71 for the duration.  How do you arrange the shuttle from the lot to the terminal and then again from the terminal to the lot?  We're driving back to TN after disembarking and would like to get as early a start as possible.

    Thanks.

When you arrive at the lot you will be asked what ship you will be on.  They then direct you to an area to unload your car (they assist) and get on your shuttle (be sure to keep your carry-on with you.).  Shuttles generally load and are on their way within 10 minutes.  When you arrive at the terminal your luggage is handed to the porters and you won't see it again until it is delivered to your cabin.

The driver will advise you where to go to meet your shuttle on your return to the port after your cruise.  Again, the shuttles line up and, as soon as they are loaded, you will be on your way back to your car.   Easy peasey!

    Enjoy and......

We are bringing our 18 year old niece with us on our upcoming March 2020 cruise (closed loop Western Caribbean from Galveston on the Liberty).  She will have her passport.  We have two connecting interior staterooms.  (She is in the stateroom with my wife and two of our kids.)

The RCCL booking agent wasn't sure if she needs a notarized authorization from her parents allowing her to sail with us but figured it was better safe than sorry.  I'd rather know for sure so I can let my sister know if she needs to get notarized authorization.

I figured some of you Cruise Critic folks would know.

    Thanks,

    Dan

Don't know if it's necessary, but as you stated, better safe than sorry.  I would also suggest that you and your wife be given permission to make medical decisions if necessary.  Happy sailing.

  10. Park Port Canaveral is our off site parking of choice.  It is across the street from and is operated by Radisson so it must be good.  Great staff, security fenced in a paved parking lot, and shuttles run constantly.  About 5 minutes to drop off at the port.

When you get to Park Port Canaveral, the staff gets your luggage.  You park your car and lock it and YOU KEEP YOUR KEYS. (That is important to us.)  Currently offering a $7.99 per day on-line special.  https://www.parkportcanaveral.com/

    Enjoy your Harmony cruise.

  11. 1. "Choice" refers to your casino level.

    2. Show your paper "Set Sail Pass" to get your drinks on the package 'til      you get your key card which will be at your cabin.

    3. Your paper "Set Sail Pass" will be scanned and you will by-pass the          lines to get aboard much quicker.

    Happy Sailing........😎

I see a lot of people recommending Bernard’s tours. My family is freaked out to book with anyone other than the boat because they won’t hold the boat for you if something happens. Thoughts??

Don't worry about it. Bernard's has been doing this for a looong time.  They know the ship's departure time and will get you back in plenty of time.  We highly recommend them.
