Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Have you heard of the new Jimmy Buffet song "Curry in Paradise"? Didnt think so... hey not to be snippy, I am glad you liked the food. Food is very subjective. For me, like the OP, I want a cheeseburger in paradise and you are right, they have very good ones on the ship. Just wished it was offered at the Beach Club.
  2. Saturday night on Scarlet Lady. No filters. Just my camera on my old Android phone, from our balcony. Is there like any contests here I can enter my photo in? It turned out well just for snapping a pic with my cell phone don't ya think? There was a lightening storm in the clouds that made it an incredible night to just sit on the balcony. Off of Miami coast. Freighter middle slight left.
  3. The photos, especially with the entrance, is extremely helpful. Thanks
  4. I have studied the Virgin Voyages map and watched some videos and I can not find the answer. VV boards out of Terminal V in Miami. But if we drive to the port and park, is parking right close or it is a few blocks away down by the other cruise lines? Even Google Earth does not show close parking. TIA!
  5. no troll, been on this board for years. I see people spending a lot of money they asking very arbitary questions.. worth is a unique to each person. I find it funny when people ask if upgrades are worth it..that is like asking if the food is good. No one can answer that for another person but only give their opinion.
  6. Ok,.My rule of thumb for purchases like this is YES if your net worth is over $3million and your disposable income after all monthly living is expenses is more than $5K per month. That is my rule, and thankfully I can do this, but I often don't. I have sometimes, but normally it is not worth it and seems a bit snobby. That is just me.

  9. The internet speeds, at least on the Divina, are laughably slow. 0.024 down is what some are getting. On my cruise I had to log off and log on to the ships wifi 3 to 4 times a day just to make it work. On Symphony i had what i felt was near fiber speeds. Good luck
  10. Sadly I went with the most expensive option for the internet. Also no TV channels ship wide. I like to watch the news in the morning.
  11. ITs been a mixed bag. Staff and food were above expectations. I really like there are 4 and sometimes 5 live music options at the same time after the show. Selection of music good, non native English singers doing the songs add some flavor. The private island was a great surprise, especially the light show and beach party with the lighthouse. Glad we got off the ship to be on the beach for that. It was just very unique. Weather was perfect for the light show. NOw the not so good. Took 1.5 hours from arrival at port Canaveral to bring on ship. Got there about noon. internet speed is crazy slow and unreliable. Like 0.05 megs. You read that right. And bumps off a lot. I talked to internet desk and that is the best they do for 18 bucks a day. Streaming is laughable. Been on other lines with 10 and 20 megs. Even at the island their hotspot was 0.08 megs. Worse than dialup, lol note:. Deck 13 is cheap for a reason. Deck chairs right above, in some areas, very noisy in the room. Get another deck if you can. hope this info helps someone.
