I live and work in NYC (and I’ll be on the Jan 2nd Getaway cruise) and I am not worried. I also haven’t heard anything about a heightened threat alert and the Firm I work at and the building it’s located in keeps us appraised of anything like that since we are near Times Square. There have only been warnings/info about the ongoing protests and possible road closures. No heightened security in the subways or the Times Square area. I’d say areas of Manhattan are 1000x more likely (probably even higher) to be a target than one of the many, many cruises that depart from NYC regularly. But honestly it doesn’t matter what anyone here says, unfortunately if your son feels a certain way I highly doubt the word of random people on CC or NYers will change or ease his mind.

Exactly? What does that mean? It’s so vague (purposely I’m sure). Also, it isn’t complementary, we paid for it. The H9 was more expensive than the HI.

Can confirm they are being phased out or as an NCL representative put it “recategorized”. I have a Haven Spa booked for January 2024 cruise and everything online was suddenly showing it as an H1 in my trip info. Took me like three calls to figure out what was going on. I was told the customers should be receiving an email shortly confirming the recategorized rooms but also stating that we will still have the thermal passes since they were an amenity when we booked the room.

Oh no. I’m not usually one of THOSE people. I don’t know how I missed that. I guess I got too excited of the prospect of it saving us money since we upgrade our drinks and internet anyway and it’s cheaper than upgrading those two items separately. 😕

Yes. I booked in February of 2021. Did anyone else book in 2021 and was able to add it?

Well shoot. I guess I’m calling again tomorrow and trying to speak to someone else.

I tried to add this on to our November sailing but was told that as we are past final payment, they were unable to add it. They could see it but it was greyed out. 😔
