  1. To be honest @Minnie29 I would say the answer to your question is no. Currently on QE and in Britannia however did a four night to Scotland in Britannia Club as there was only a £25 difference in price so in this case it was well worth it. Yes the Britannia Club dining room was lovely, service was excellent however minus a few specials, anytime dining there was nothing that made it special enough in my opinion to justify an increase of £1300. Have you checked the grills? Lately I have noted PG coming in cheaper in many cases than Britannia Club. Hope you get booked but save £1300 and go for Britannia which on this cruise on QE has been excellent.
  2. Hi, no it doesn't matter when you buy as the 10% remains in place throughout the cruise. Please take into account if you don't buy the package and buy drinks as you go you have the 15% service charge and then the 10% Spanish VAT charge on each drink you purchase. With the pound heading towards parity with the dollar many from the UK commenting on how expensive purchases onboard are becoming these days. Lastly all Spa and photo purchases have 21% VAT added to them. Hope you have a fab time on QE @2Oldpeopleinlove we sure have and Alfie's show tonight was excellent.
  3. Buy before as I just found to my cost if you buy onboard for departures ex Barcelona they add on an extra 10% Spanish vat!
  4. Yes they still have them currently on Queen Elizabeth and they also had them on Queen Victoria last month. My elderly mother who is always cold loves them so much so I checked at the gift shop to be told I could but needed to go to the Purser's Office. There I went to be told I need to ask the Room Steward and he would provide the form for me to purchase one. Turns out you can't buy them which is a real shame as these would be a real hot seller more so than bath robes! On a positive though they still have them to borrow onboard!
  5. Hi @carlmm I am also on this cruise and I totally agree with your posts. Entertainment has been inconsistent and the pianist in the commodore is sorely missed. Staff have been fantastic, however where are the senior team/officers. They are now invisible and nowhere to be seen and very different to pre-covid experiences with Cunard. I was on Victoria last month on cruise to Scotland and the entertainment on there was more familiar with the Cunard we all know and love. I was in the space of five minutes given three conflicting pieces of information. On leaving the Pursers Office a manager (surprised to have seen one) passed by and I mentioned to her only to be told "no need to come here you use the app and message your cabin steward" Interesting response as I wasn't looking for the cabin steward and when I pointed this out she told me she was new. At first I thought to QE and I asked what ship she was on before she didn't want to engage in any conversation and told me another cruise line. Turns out it was Tui Travel not cruise but that is neither here nor there. Main issue does not know Cunard or the brand she represents and it seems a lot of the senior team have left! I shall post a full review about this trip and my recent cruise on Queen Victoria. Great to be back on Cunard but like many others are commenting it is the senior team who are failing this so called "fine line" which we all love!
