Oh sorry my mistake, never sailed with P&O .

Yes I understand that , the drinks already included in the holiday cost are very good , but if you wanted more choice of cocktails and other spirits plus coffee the upgrade is well worth it, it’s about £280 for a 2week cruise.

As you know drinks are in the cost of the cruise, you only need to pay extra if you want the premium package, the price is for both , well worth it .

No public transport, you will need to book a taxi or do a ship tour ,

There is a Big bus stop near Brooklyn bridge ,not sure how far cruise dock is though, we really enjoyed the bus tour , and the whole cruise would love to do it again .

No didn’t go to the space centre not our thing , enjoyed a day on the ship , there was a lot of people that did though.

we did the Big Bus Tour it was well worth it ,get on and off where you want , but it gets really busy in the afternoon and there are some long queues to get on ,but it is very well organised, we were in Manhattan so bus picked up outside cruise dock ,got off at the circle line boat trip dock .Enjoy .

We came home on the 02/07 so back just before the engine fire .

No bus as far I know , only a 2 hour trip to the beach or wander round the shops in the small port , have a drink in the Daquiri bar , we were at the port 26/ 6 on Discovery.

Has anyone done the Harbour lights cruise ? Is it dark enough to see the skyline lit up ? .

We are docking in puerto plata , near amber cove , but the trip is to jack tar beach after a town tour .

we are going on the USA cruise which visits Dom Rep , has anyone done the Sightseeing and Sunbathing tour ? I keep reading about people bothering you on the beach .

We are down near the Lizard in Cornwall this week ,it’s pouring down , so we can’t wait to get back on Discovery in June , had a great holiday in the Caribbean in feb , also was on Explorer in nov also a good time had , we like Marella at least there are no hidden costs , unless you choose to spend extra .

Why was the cruise not the best for you , apart from the drink .

We brought ours on the ship , cheapest we found anywhere.

When we went on the Discovery in Feb there was a Captain Morgan spiced on the standard package.

Had two cruises so far over the last 6months , explorer round the med , and just back from the carribbean on Discovery, we had a great time on both ships never had a problem with the food or service apart from the pool deck bar occasionally, we did use the buffet for most meals as the queue for the restaurant was always quite busy , we found the staff to be very friendly even though they were clearly busy , we also had the premium drinks well worth it, we tend not to use the pool deck just to busy, our next cruise is to the USA and ASIA both with Marella,there will always be people that will annoy you ignore them and have a great time .
