  1. Then met up with my son, and we did the Fish Spa together! Your feet and lower legs get scrubbed to within an inch of their life, and then these little fish nibble on your legs. It is a very pleasant sensation. Here is a photo; videos are up on my phone in the room—I’m currently at Street Eats
  2. I saw at least 3 pools walking around. The middle one had a wild spring break party atmosphere—DJ, dancers, line dancing in the pool, yard long drinks. Probably not the one you want to pick if you are with your kids. I have video of this that I’ll share later. Here are some of the Aviarium photos; birds first:
  3. Had lots of fun in the port! But WOW was it crowded! We had a latecomer to the pier, Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas, so 3 big ships. For some reason I couldn’t get any data on my cellular while I was in port; I bet they had free wifi and I should have switched over. In any event, I started out by watching the Papantla flyers. Then I walked around checking out all the stores, pools, bars and eating venues. I did see 2 heavily armed security guys inside the port; is this new? Met the Duck Man who is on Jubilee right now, and then wanted something to drink before going in the Aviarium. Got a delicious Sorbet drink at the Gelato store; I picked Lemon falvor and it was very refreshing. The Aviarium costs $14 per adult and $12 per person. If you love birds it is totally worth it; it is also totally worth it if you just want to get great views of the port and the ships, and/or want to watch the people interact from the dolphins; they have an observatory tower and lots of suspended bridges with great views. I was one of very few people in the attraction today, so could linger as long as I wanted. Saw a HUGE tour group going in as I exited. Do NOT do this attraction as a tour; much better if you are not in a huge group, and I don’t see the need for someone to organize this for you, as its right in the port! Lets start with some general port andship photos:
  4. Ah! About to head out at a very leisurely 10:30am! So happy to have a quiet morning. Quite windy! At 9am long after we were docked and I was just waking up, the ship was still shaking every now and then, and it just did a little shimmy as I’m typing this. I grabbed my coffee at Java Blue; no line to speak of. There is no grab and go that I can see, and by 9:30, absolutely no food, not even a muffin in the case. I remember a big grab and go case on the Mardi Gras; am I remembering it wrong? Line was longer by the time I had my sorta-dry cappucino (photo of line) Crew safety drills are going on this morning. Those go right into the rooms, so if you are a REALLY late sleeper, beware, but I always enjoy hearing the drills as they help keep us all safe in case of emergency. We are docked next to the Norwegian Joy in a sort of T formation; front of their ship is right outside my starboard side window. And I’m sending in my free laundry! Yay. I’m off to Costa Maya!
  5. @jimbo5544 Glad as always to have you along! Jubilee has been fantastic so far, but then, I’m an Excel Class Fangirl (LOL)
  6. @TheLargeFamily Not on this ship! I do usually love their lobster roll and enjoy the fried clams; I’m trying to fit it in but wow this cruise is going fast!
  7. After dinner we went to Tim Young’s R rated comedy show at the Punchliner. Standing Room only. I’ve seen him before on a ship; I just can’t remember which one. I though D.J.Cooch was funnier, and others thought Jersey was funnier still. Still a good show! And then EVERYONE went to bed (well, the young people may have just made their escape, but lets just say they went to bed). Scuba diving and playing with wildlife is tiring! So there I was, all alone. I wandered by the late Rio Carnival show (same as last night; they do 4 performances in all so everyone can see the show!). Course I ended up in the casino. Won some more, so I’m decently up for the week at this point! Tomorrow most of the group is going kayaking. Son is going to Chaccoben ruins. I am going to hang out at the port (I’m doing a video on the port for my channel) so as part of that, I’m going to have fish eat the dead skin off my feet at the fish spa and going to the Aviarus for the birds and the views. Good night all! Two more ports and a sea day are still ahead!
  8. After everyone was made presentable, we headed down to Dr Inks for the usual round of drinks. We have our bar and our bartender; what more does one need before dinner? We had to go to Cucina Capitano in person because their reservaton system cannot accept more than 8 people, so hubby went to Cucina so they could manually add our 9th person. We did that about 6:30 and that got us right in at about 7. This was my third go at Cucina Capitano on the Excel class ships. My first try on the Mardi Gras was a disaster (like, 3 hours for dinner for 2 people!). My second on the Celebration was disappointing, just didn’t enjoy the food we ordered. However, on Jubilee, they have got it together! In spite of our big party, service was prompt and we were able to make the 8:45 comedy show in Punchliner with no trouble. The food at Cucina was also excellent this time! I had the Caprese salad and a half portion of the clam linguine, and the veal marsala. All hot and tasty. The apple crostina for desert was OK; the tiramisu some had was better! Other photos are of the Arancini, Nona’s Meatball, the tuna appetizer, etc. It is an excellent included choice on this ship!
  9. Thank you! Mahogany Bay has become one of my favorite ports—love the port area, AND there is so much to do in Roatan!
  10. Possible. But no one will own up to it, and when interrogated, they all SEEMED innocent! 🤣
  11. Just some beautiful photos of Mahogany Bay port and the beautiful Jubilee
  12. One thing I REALLY liked about getting to interact with the wildlife today was that we. were able to take any photos we wanted, and there was no “official photographer” you have to buy photos from (like in Australia with koalas) or having to sit in one place like in Dominican Republic with the spider monkeys—made it hard for my friend and I to get photos of each other, so we ended up buying the souvenir photos. I also like that it seems that the two venues today take good care of the animals—their sloths are rescued, from traffickers; some are abused and malnourished when they get them. They have big trees for the sloths to hang out in when they are not interacting with the tourists. The iguanas evidently are hunted for meat and eggs on Roatan and are becoming endangered, The iguana refuge has over 3,000 iguanas that they are helping to protect, Also, the sloth/monkey venue has 4 darling formerly feral cats that they have spayed and neutered and taken care of. Which I love.
  13. Everyone is back to the ship. Husband saw 4 eagle rays in formation on his scuba dive—he says that is rare and way cool. Saw some lobsters, favorite fish was a school of vibrant blue fish. Most of what he saw was at 30 feet although he went down to 60. Used West Bay company which he highly recommends. We had 6 divers in the group! Going to try for Cucina at 7 for dinner. Some people heading off to Family Feud; I’m not sure what I’ll do yet. There were 65 “teams” that auditioned for Feud this trip—lots of competition!
  14. At street Eats having the Shu Mai then the muffalatta fries. YUM! shu Mai was superb. Muffalatta Fries good but not my favorite scuba Divers on their way back evidently they had an excellent dive
  15. Thank you! I’ve been told I have a generally sunny personality, but I don’t know any different and I can’t imagine being any other way! One thing DID make me a tad cranky last night. At 1:30 AM engineering came to our room to “fix our air conditioner”. Said we had called down that it was broken. Well we did NOT—our air conditioner was working fine and the knocking woke my husband up. Thankfully, I was still up because I was eating my midnight pizza. I would like to have an explanation as to what happened. I assume someone had called for a fixed air conditioner, but gave them the wrong room. so see, I’m not ALL SUNSHINE! 😂
  16. Off to Street Eats-haven’t had a bite all day and there is no excuse to go hungry on a cruise ship!
  17. Been out all day in Roatan! Got an espresso around 9:30 at Java Blue-everyone had left the ship but me Andes the other guy in the VERY short line! worked on a bit of a video feature with my new DJI mini pocket 3 camera at the port. Then have been on the Discover Roatan 11am tour. Only 15 people! LOVED it have interacted with sloths, monkeys and iguanas. A few photos still on tour-more to follow!
  18. Back to Dr Inks after dinner where we had seats this time! Still no smoker, but we had our favorite bartender who knows what we like and how we like it—Dajana. The kids had two N/A bubble drinks—so fun! Carnivale parade went right by us! Then to Punchliner for the iver 18 DJ Cooch who was hilarious! No we are seated WAY back for Rio show. The wages of the sun of seeing comedy first.
  19. Dinner right at 5:40–no wait. had a beautiful table right by the windows and I really enjoyed my new cruisers getting into “Showtime” Did a terrible job of photos and menus ,cause I had been drinking LOL. I had the BBQ beef spring rolls, shrimp poke and eggplant Parmesan. Good proper eggplant parm! And delicious banana cream pie for desert! Hubby had the bronze bass fish (emeril) with grits and the Emeril’ salad.
  20. @atakkat I’m a big Rudi’s fan. Haven’t done Fahrenheit yet on Excel class BUT we have reservations Thursday night so I can give you a direct comparison after!
  21. My vegan friend is THRILLED they have vegan cheese for the pizza now at Coastal Slice and not only that, but they are very thoughtful and trained on no contaminaton while cooking. also including photo of the Vegan Chicken Parm from Cucina
  22. Finally won some money in the casino! No fortune but I’m up $100 for the cruise and I was WAY down. Pulled myself away from the casino and watched the Rio show rehearsal for awhile. We are now at the Alchemy. Ar. Wanted Dr Inks but it was packed at 4:30! Having the Alchemist’s Sidecar, made a bit more sour than usual cause that is how I like them. Russ had his favorite N/A cucumber Sunrise. Chewing the fat with 7 of us. Debating dinner.
  23. Thank you @Saint Greg! Great info I will look for it for my Magic Cruise when I get home!
