I just booked this cruise from Dover in May 2025 on Miracle:
-
I just used National Express bus 2 weeks ago. Inexpensive and fairly simple.

I'm always amazed that people will pay the upcharge for Johnny Rockets on Royal. It's not even like it's a unique dining experience or anything - there are Johnny Rockets all over the place on land.
I've heard that breakfast is complimentary on Johnny Rockets, but haven't verified that.

I believe it is refundable before final payment. I booked the September sale which was identical and when I look at my booking, it says $0 penalty if I cancel now which is before my final payment.
I saw the September sale too, but the difference is when I clicked "Terms & Conditions" for the September sale, it said "Refundable deposit...". 🤔

So, which ship(s) will be doing the Baltic in Summer, 2025? I'm sorry if I missed it. Anyone know?
Thanks! Anxious to book a Baltic (hopefully) on a Radiance Class ship!
Not Royal, but I'm booked on an NCL Baltic cruise in May of 2025.

So I guess not only do you get to watch your ship sail away but you can expect to pay for the privilege of watching that little spectacle too.
I haven't heard of pier runners getting charged extra.

There are fines for leaving mid journey.
Cruise lines have no problem leaving you behind if you're late returning from a port of call.

Hey there....we did this. Not due to a hurricane, but because we found a better cruise at a very appealing price. We had the Platinum plan so received a 90% FCC. Here's what happened:
We submitted our claim to AON as AON must deny the travel insurance claim before NCL will provide any benefit to you. We submitted the claim in late August, finally receiving our denial email in late February or March. UGH!! We received our FCC in 30 days from NCL.
When we received our FCC we could have used it to pay off a cruise fare for an already booked cruise if we had had one. Since we didn't, we selected a new cruise for this November. The FCC was good from the date of issuance (late March) through September, 2024.
I hope that helps!
I received my denial letter from Aon in 3 days. That must be a record.

Couldn’t get into Sydney because of the weather. Currently circling in the Atlantic.
How rough are the seas?

Haven't yet cruised on the Prima class. I am a little confused because it's trying to be more upscale, but still has water slides going around (and through) cabin balconies and a race track looming over the main pool!

Do married women who are US Citizens need to take marriage documents for cruises ?
Yes, if they are traveling without a passport and their birth certificate has a different last name.

Do you not have time to renew her passport at any time before the cruise?
GC
Not really. We've got 5 cruises booked next year. If it was my passport expiring it would be simple because my name matches my birth certificate.
-
My wife's passport will be expiring next year, which means we'll most likely need to travel on one cruise without her passport. It's a closed-loop US cruise.
I understand she'll need her official birth certificate. Because her last name has changed, I assume we'll need to bring a marriage certificate too. Because this is our second marriage, I imagine she'll need her first marriage certificate as well. Will she also need proof of divorce? Our marriage certificate is from a foreign country (Anguilla). Will that be an issue?
I may be making this more complicated than I need to, but my biggest fear is having a cruise agent refuse us at the embarkation port.
Thanks all.

My husband said some cruiselines are heading south instead of going to Canada!!!
At least you had that option. I cancelled my 9/13 cruise because it was Quebec City to NYC. There really is no alternate route. I didn't want to be in rough seas most of the way. Good luck.

Seven months...really?!!! That's crazy. I'm hoping to use my (eventual) FCC on an already booked cruise in May.
-
It's likely that I will cancel my upcoming Canada cruise due to Hurricane Lee. 😡 I have Book Safe standard which provides a 75% FCC under the "cancel for any reason" clause. My question for anyone who's ever done this is how long do you have to use the FCC and can it be used on an already booked cruise?
Thanks.

I only hope my wife doesn’t see she had all the power here and takes the pool boy with her on the next cruise.
Depends on how much of a discount he can get. 😂

This is true if the book and card were issued at the same time.
Our passport books and cards were issued atdifferent times and have different expiration dates (about 3 years apart). We did it this way for this exact scenario.
My passport book is away for renewal as we type; but my passport card (with a July 2026 expiration) is in my safe and ready for my Allure cruise at the end of the month.I was thinking of doing that. Did you have to surrender your passport book when applying for the passport card?

Sounds like a nail-biter. 😬
Is 11:45 am too early from Seattle?

Hello all.
My August Alaska cruise is scheduled to return to Seattle at 6 a.m. Is it realistic to book an 11:45 am flight home from SEA?
Thanks.
