We want to go to Mendenhall Glacier before an evening whale watching excursion so I'm wondering which company is more reliable returning from Mendenhall? White bus or blue bus? Or will busses not be full if returning at around 4:00 pm and we don't need to worry? I've seen reports of waiting for 2 hours for a bus and we don't want to risk missing the evening excursion! Thank you!

Did you take a taxi? I read somewhere that they charge $17 for the $5 park pass on top of the fare. Was this true? Thanks.

Basically, I want to do it all but know I can't! I'm looking at whale watch/glacier combined tours in Juneau but they only allow about 1 hour at Mendenhall Glacier which does NOT seem like enough time to me to walk to Nugget Falls and Photo Point, let alone even step foot in the visitor center. Am I wrong? Is there really not that much to do/see there? We're in port from 12pm-10pm so plenty of time. It's just been difficult scheduling to maximize both experiences. I'm also looking at possibly booking separate experiences through Princess and private vendors. (Jayleen's already booked the day I'm there, I've checked) Thanks for any thoughts, suggestions, experiences you may have!

Can you not just get the wine you like from Vines and take it to dinner with you? Is that allowed on Princess? (I know we did that on other lines)
