  1. Hello, HAL posters. I'm looking for a recent copy of the daily program on a HAL ship, preferably from a vista/signature class ship. I've looked at some of the "Live from" posts with no luck, and the CC site locks up when I try to search for "when and where" (in quotations). Any tips on how to locate one would be very much appreciated. If someone currently on a HAL ship would post a copy from a sea day, that would be even more fantastic. Thank you.
  2. You'll need to prioritize your preferences because none of the 3 will be good in all areas. If food and wine are your top priority, stay with Celebrity and don't bother with the other 2. You will be disappointed in the food (can't comment on alcohol). My impression from your OP is that you are tempted by a different itinerary. You should decide if it is really different and better, and enough to offset what IMHO will be a very noticeable concession in the food area. Regarding entertainment, if you set aside the production shows in the theater, the live music that I've experienced in the lounges on Princess is a grade above HAL and Celebrity. My issue with HAL's "Music Walk" is that there is not enough of it to entertain throughout the day. Also, you're typically limited to BB King, classical orchestra, and the piano person (There is a new rock n roll venue on some of the new ships that I have not experienced). Princess can have up to 5 different bands playing, starting around noon on sea days. If dancing to live music is a big draw for you, then hands-down you should go with Princess. From what you've said so far, the choice is really between Celebrity and Princess.
  3. Please NVM, found answer to my question.
  4. Would recent sailors of the R ships please provide an update on current dancing opportunities (and perhaps your personal experience) in the main show lounge and Horizons? Thank you very much.
  5. How about music and dancing on the ship? Were there many opportunities to do couples social dancing? I'm curious whether the big dance floor in the main show lounge is ever used for dancing to a live band? Thank you in advance for answering my questions.
  6. Wife and I have been Princess cruisers of late, mainly because of our proximity to one of its home ports on the west coast. We're really tempted by Oceania's promise of better food and the smaller-ship experience, but we love the live music in the lounges and variety of dancing opportunities on Princess (Not pop nightclub wiggle-in-place dancing, but couples social dancing). Scanning the Currents that I can find on CC, it appears that most of what we'll find on Oceania will be classical music. Is that a fair statement? How much dancing can we realistically expect to enjoy? I see a sizable dance floor in pictures of the main showroom on the R ships. Is that ever used for dancing? Or is dancing limited to the Horizon Lounge? Thanks in advance to Oceania veterans who might be willing to chime in with their experience.
  7. Ruby Princess CD is Michael (Mikka) Reitano- He who incessantly pushes bingo, spa services, and art auctions over the intercom.
  8. Patters would be terrific. Vaguely recall that some musicians in various lounges are due to rotate out right about now. Would love info on the new arrivals. Thank you.
