I have stuffed two pair of pants, one dress shirt, two polo shirts, three pairs of socks, two undershirts, four handkerchiefs, and one dress in a bag.
I'm assuming you mean long trousers and not underpants :):D

I've been successful in gaining price reductions prior to final payment on three separate occasions for bookings in Australia.
With HAL or with the 'australian' lines?

How far is Bowen from the GBR?
Bowen is only an hours drive up the coast from Airlie Beach. Come in on to the Bruce and straight up the road. We 'winter' there each year.
-
I did see them fingerprinting and taking photos of some people though?
That'd be us 'aliens' - happens each time we enter or leave the USA. With the collection of photos they have of me they'd be able to see how I've aged over the years if they ever put Them side by side lol :):)
Have thoroughly enjoyed your thoughts on the good the bad and the unfortunate aspects of your latest cruise Jacqui
-
I've worn shorts my whole life. I wore them to school. Wore them to work. Have worn them to church. I've worn them in best restaurants, formal functions and I've worn them in MDR on many ships with many cruise liens also.
The difference? Bermuda shorts, knee high 'golf hose', long sleeve shirts, tile and blazer. Always keep Bermuda passport handy just in case a cruise ship maitr'd does not know the national dress.
Good on ya Topsham - I was going to mention these but didn't for fear of.........:)

There is a small thread over at the Australian forum about this voyage

Post no.11 has a link to recent photos of the 'renovations' which will result in Pacific Eden being the end result.

just passing you a new whip.
Yours must be getting worn out from beating that dead horse.
Might be time to bury him? and let him RIP?
Trouble is he gets bored so has to get his big stirring spoon out.
You know what they say about 'ignore and he might go away' somehow I don't think that would work in this case :):D
. The problem is the tie -- it makes him feel like he is choking (he never wore a tie in his line of lifelong rough outdoor work, so is just not used to it). He will do whatever I tell him to (including feeling uncomfortable on two nights so we could get into the dining room to sit with our group) and I will get him to wear the tie if p.
)
I don't know if they are still sold - but could you look for a pretied tie that has an elastic neckband or even a clip on one. You might be able to get away with not doing up the shirt top button which would help a bit with the choking feeling and if you are with a large group I'm sure no-one would mind if he removed the tie after a while. Don't forget to take your photos beforehand :)
Seems a shame he should miss out on what is usually a great night in the Dining Room. -
Good news, the itineraries for Noordam and Maasdam "down under' summer season, 2016/2017 are now available.
No Sydney to Singapore tho'
Maasdam doing Circumvent Aus plus some NZ trips then back to Dan Diego
-
Looks like she is taking over the Volendam run of Aus/NZ circumnavigation before heading up to Asia. Drat never managed to sail on the Volendam and won't have a chance now, too booked up.
I was hoping to do Sydney - Singapore on the Volendam next year as well, we had a great time on this cruise on a fabulous ship (Volendam) in 2013 and was keen to repeat it. Looks like I'll have to enjoy the pleasure of a new (to me) ship instead. Come on HAL get those schedules out so we can make plans :):)

Good afternoon fellow addicts. Who's watching today?
I'm here in Melbourne getting my fix for the day. Just 406 days until our next cruise - do wish it were sooner :)
-
Is the Zuiderdam away from the dock?
Looks like it :)
-
Thanks KK, I had no idea there was a difference I thought they all were snow blowers. With your explanation I can understand why you need different kinds of snow blowers and snow throwers.
We can all keep that in mind if the question arises at a Trivia session one day :)

Looking longingly at the two of them leaving (Zdam and Ndam) and waiting patiently for April 2016 when we'll be on their sister Westerdam heading fo Hawaii.
Too many other things planned for this year but i'm sure the next 14 months will fly by and we'll be looking for the suitcases and all the other cruise paraphenalia to go in them.

And to add to the mix it's a G'Day to you all from Melbourne. How ya goin'?
Bright and sunny here with a forecast of about 30c/88f.
Just eating me brekkie in the sunshine - will be back in for the show in a short while

Forward she goes, after all the reversing.
She moved along at a fair click didn't she - couldn't wait to be gone :)

our captains switched too during our 30 day cruise at Istanbul. Captain Roberts wanted back on and Captain Andre wanted off - LOL. so, it does happen. The question in my mind is why isn't Captain Andre coming on? hopefully he is ok.
Don't you remember Jacqui - Cpt Andre was going off home to do some renovations and look at the Honey Do list that was waiting for him (well at least I think that's what he said :):)) - maybe he hasn't finished yet :D:D
-
You think everyone onboard is in bed already? :D
Is that why she is moving so slowly?
-
You will be able to have it on your Oosterdam cruise. They usually have plenty aboard for down under cruises.!:)
LOL I'm one of those 'cover all bases' cruisers and always pack a tube to take with me. Saves the waiters in the MDR from having to locate some for me in morning at breakfast
-
Looking forward to trying some during our week in Australia prior to our cruise.
Just remember not to put too much on - it's not like chocolate spread. Less is more in Vegemite's case. Enjoy the flavour
-
G'day! A little Vegemite on that toast.:)
Naturally - marmalade as well. On the other piece that is :D

Lots of detail there - thank you. Just curious about your remark 'not anymore' when you mentioned the wrap around promenade deck. Has it been altered in some way - are you unable to do a full continuous circuit?
