1.

I did see them fingerprinting and taking photos of some people though?

That'd be us 'aliens' - happens each time we enter or leave the USA. With the collection of photos they have of me they'd be able to see how I've aged over the years if they ever put Them side by side lol :):)

Have thoroughly enjoyed your thoughts on the good the bad and the unfortunate aspects of your latest cruise Jacqui

2. I've worn shorts my whole life. I wore them to school. Wore them to work. Have worn them to church. I've worn them in best restaurants, formal functions and I've worn them in MDR on many ships with many cruise liens also.

The difference? Bermuda shorts, knee high 'golf hose', long sleeve shirts, tile and blazer. Always keep Bermuda passport handy just in case a cruise ship maitr'd does not know the national dress.

Good on ya Topsham - I was going to mention these but didn't for fear of.........:)

3. just passing you a new whip.

Yours must be getting worn out from beating that dead horse.

Might be time to bury him? and let him RIP?

Trouble is he gets bored so has to get his big stirring spoon out.

You know what they say about 'ignore and he might go away' somehow I don't think that would work in this case :):D

4.
. The problem is the tie -- it makes him feel like he is choking (he never wore a tie in his line of lifelong rough outdoor work, so is just not used to it). He will do whatever I tell him to (including feeling uncomfortable on two nights so we could get into the dining room to sit with our group) and I will get him to wear the tie if p.
)
I don't know if they are still sold - but could you look for a pretied tie that has an elastic neckband or even a clip on one. You might be able to get away with not doing up the shirt top button which would help a bit with the choking feeling and if you are with a large group I'm sure no-one would mind if he removed the tie after a while. Don't forget to take your photos beforehand :)
Seems a shame he should miss out on what is usually a great night in the Dining Room.
5. Looks like she is taking over the Volendam run of Aus/NZ circumnavigation before heading up to Asia. Drat never managed to sail on the Volendam and won't have a chance now, too booked up.

I was hoping to do Sydney - Singapore on the Volendam next year as well, we had a great time on this cruise on a fabulous ship (Volendam) in 2013 and was keen to repeat it. Looks like I'll have to enjoy the pleasure of a new (to me) ship instead. Come on HAL get those schedules out so we can make plans :):)

6. our captains switched too during our 30 day cruise at Istanbul. Captain Roberts wanted back on and Captain Andre wanted off - LOL. so, it does happen. The question in my mind is why isn't Captain Andre coming on? hopefully he is ok.

Don't you remember Jacqui - Cpt Andre was going off home to do some renovations and look at the Honey Do list that was waiting for him (well at least I think that's what he said :):)) - maybe he hasn't finished yet :D:D
