Wow, its about time.
Bet that's what all those onboard are saying as well :)

The blue light makes it look like she has a police escort

OK, this time I think she really is moving!
I think you might be right :)
Ok am I the only one here, watching the paint dry.
Oops I have company, back from feeding the dogs.:D
No, I'm here :)
I keep popping in every now and again - bright sunny morning here in Melbourne so I'm doing those regular morning bits and pieces quickly so I can get out and enjoy it.
Not that I don't like watching sailaways - they keep me going till the next sailaway I'm on. November next year is 12 months away but then who's counting :D:D -
Zuiderdam was my first cruise ship. Still have special feelings for her.
Mine too - Alaska September 2006. Sailed on her again - Alaska September 2010. :)
-
I'm off as well - some gardening to do this morning then settle down to watch the 'Cup' later on this arvo. Melbourne Cup Day is always an excuse for a little drinky - not that we need an excuse anyway :) :)

Hi there, Australia! :)
Hello to you too :)
Emergency vehicles are leaving.
So is the Noordam :) -
I don't think so Cathy. At least I didn't see them in the in box. I checked the other folders to /quote]
They were sent to the 'pictures' email account - maybe I'll resend them direct to you if thats alright.
Cathy -
we just got off as well and yes they are still there and they are free.
Please use the soap there though, don't bring your own as the soap on board is a special environmental soap. You may well wish to bring dryer sheets though.
You might like to also bring along a smile and a thick skin :)
Laundry rooms bring out all sorts of funny behaviour in cruisers - which was definitely visible this past October on the Prinsendam :D:)
Don't tempt me with the weather we have right now.
thanks for letting us know what we missed
Nothing here either - thought there was something wrong with my speakers.
(Don't want to hijack this thread but Jacqui did you receive some photos rom me over at halfacts?) -
Well that was a bit of a let down
I wonder what sort of toot fest we'll be treated to today?
Three would be enough for me - just a gentle reminder of things to come :):) -
Signing on!

39 here this morning but now 69 and weather back in low 70's this week.
Ready for some Down Under and Pacific weather!
Haha Chief - here in Melbourne we are having the usual spring time yoyo weather. Was up in the 30s/high 80s, sunny ans warm when we got home two weeks ago - been down to the teens/50s (with rain and hail) in the meantime . Promise for 29c tomorrow (Melbourne Cup Day) -
Signing on!
Me too - just finished putting eveything away after getting home from our October Prinsendam cruise.
Hope all those happy cruisers enjoy their time onboard.

Hello Jacqui - been home 5 days now, still trying to rustle up some enthusiasm lol
So adding the cruise we booked onboard will hopefully keep me going for the next 13 months :)
Right then, we will be on the Volendam 17 day Great Barrier Reef Experience sailing from Sydney to Singapore leaving on November 21, 2015. It's a great lead up to Christmas and if it goes as well as it did last year we'll have a fabulous time.
Thanks for that
Cathy (and David)

Being New to HAL I would love to know who is the CD on Oosterdam for December 5th sailing
On the other lines we have sailed we have had some excellent CD's who did make or break the atmosphere of the cruise (not the cruise itself) and I would like to send a titled invitation letter to them for our private meet and greet:):)[/
Wrong post sorry
-
We had a new cruise director on Prinsendam. She had a lot of excellent qualities BUT.....she insisted on getting on the P.A. at 9 a.m. with her announcements. Sometimes we like to stay up late and sleep in, on sea days. I don't remember Thom Faulkner or Linda M. being so thoughtless!!
Toodle oo for now lol :)
-
Thank you all - we are enjoying the sunshine in Cyprus at the moment looking forward to returning to Athens to pick up the cruise on the 5th.

Oops sorry posted a bit too quickly - I was going to say I do hope all goes well with your return TA flight. Don't forget, plenty of liquids and as much movement as possible to ward off any DVT problems that might arise.

I know it's all over and done with now (well almost) but would your travel insurance company not have been of some help to you - you did have travel insurance didn't you?

I wouldn't dream of asking could I spend sterling in the US:cool:
agree - We take the currency of the country as well. I wouldn't think of asking them to accept Canadian dollars :p;)Well it is surprising how many overseas visitors seem to think aussie shops will accept their currency - we are all related is the reason I heard one shopper use!!
-
Euros, British Pounds and USA dollars are welcome at the stores.
Keith
Aussie dollars? :)Well I guess that one fell flat - couldn't find a tongue in cheek icon so put a smile there instead !!

Thanks for that - I learnt something today- I knew there was an escort but not that they were police at the front. Certainly is more obvious in the dark
