Just booked voyager for oct Hong Kong to Singapore and was just wondering if the ship had a coke freestyle machine.
Also, any other tips and things to know about Voyager.

Thanks glittergal- although I think a week is a bit too long to wait for a reply. Why they can't just have an 0800 number for U.K. Is beyond me!!!!!

Thank you, but 0844 numbers cost 7p per minute plus the phone companies access charge.

I have just booked but have a few queries that need resolving so I need to contact RCI to resolve.
First off, I really despise the fact that if I want to call the number on the website it is going to cost me £0.07 per minute so refuse to go that.
If I request a call back, most times they call back during the day when I can't take the call as I am at work.
I tried to use the email form on the website but they have a limit on the number of characters in the email address that you put in, and of course, mine is longer so can't put my email address in!!!
Someone did give me 01800 number, but this again is not free if you are outside the uk.
Any suggestions?

So if the 20% can be obtained online, is the price I am being quoted already have the 20% discount applied as it doesn't say anything?

Just hit diamond and sailing later this year on Voyager.
We are debating whether or not to get the drinks package as there are quite a few sea days.
Not sure if I have read it somewhere but do diamond guests get offered a 20% discount onboard....
Thanks in advance

It's getting very confusing now as it seems different ships are charging different prices for the same drinks.... get your act together RCI!!!!

Just off Allure and had a fabulous time. Really enjoyed Sabor, especially the guacamole and grand margarita. Forgot to ask for the recipes though so can anyone help.... not sure why the margarita was red coloured.... would love to recreate at home.
Thanks in advance

Sorry... I should have said $13 (dollars) and not €13 (euros),
And thanks for the heads up on the mini bar / water charge. Will be calling RCI to get it sorted once I find a number that we will not also be charged for!!!!!

We are the original posters and all drinks that were over the €13 limit we're definitely charged extra. I did go and complain at guest services but they basically said tough... that is the prices of the drinks. I did get the upcharge removed when we purchased the gin fizz at the pub.
On a separate note... paid off our balance in full with cash before we left. Didn't even get a bill so thought all was fine. Just checked credit card and been charged £9.99 by royal. God knows what for and because we are brits it even costs us to phone them up [emoji36]

Had a really lovely meal at 150 Central Park last night..... everything wonderful apart from the fact that the one and only signature cocktail is now priced higher so excluded from the package, and there are only 4 wines we could choose from from the extensive wine list.

Still sailing on allure ATM. Spent a pleasant few hours at the solarium bar yesterday and although it was great to have a new drinks menu ( already posted by vavasmom) it is really disappointing to have drinks listed that are outside the package.... first page is signature cocktails and then every page has another 2-3 drinks not included. Sorry, but we have paid a LOT of money for our 10 night drinks package which promised virtually all drinks included, so very disappointed to go to bars to see drinks advertised which you have to pay extra for....... don't really understand why royal are doing this as all it seems to be doing is pissing people off for the sake of an extra $ here and there!!!!!!

I am on this cruise with TC38. Drink package price is anything up to $13. Even the server in the pub last night was embarrassed that there was an up charge for the cocktails and hadn't realised the prices had gone up. They did say they knew the menu had changed as some drinks had been taken off....

We are sailing Allure over Christmas and New Year and quite a lot of the specialities are already full. I am presuming they will hold some spots back for booking once onboard.
Where do you actually go to book these - do you have to go to each individual restaurant or is there a central place? Can you book all the restaurants at the one place?
Also, what about the MDR assignments - does the Maitre'D still hold court in the MDR when you board to sort out any issues and table placements?
Thanks in advance

I didn't realise there were 2 posts for this sailing....... I will see if I can request a merge somehow.
Well we have all flights and pre/post hotels all booked. Its great seeing all the Christmas stuff appearing in the shops and knowing we don't have to bother with the epic food shopping this year, as we will be sipping cocktails in the sun :D

We have also booked this for NYE this year on Allure and are wondering if it will be just the standard or will there be anything a little extra.
-
I have to say I am surprised how quiet this thread is - with final payment passed I thought there would be more chatter.... Although I have just looked on a popular cruise inventory website and can see that there is still 40% left to book on the cruise. Not that surprised as I am shocked at some of the prices......
Anyway - has anyone got much booked for the ports of call yet?

We are booked on this years Xmas and NY cruise on Allure.
A couple of months back I checked the dining and everything was available - well apart from Izumi Hibachi which has never appeared. We decided to book Chefs Table for NYE and have a think about what else we wanted to do.
A week later I logged back in and there was such limited availability - Christmas Eve, Christmas day, NYE were all booked up - except for Sabor, Izumi Regular..... Chops, 150, Giovani's table all gone.......
So I am guessing that your sailing must also be filled up. I am hoping that they will keep a few spots open so we can book Christmas eve when we get on board.

We have not been to Labadee for many many years but will be visiting over the Christmas holidays this year on Allure.
Since my last visit I have been diagnosed with melanoma (all clear now) but it does mean I have to stay out of the sun as much as possible.
We don't really want to book a cabana so what other options are available to us. Are there beaches with umbrellas we can use? Ideally we would like something quite idyllic, quiet and sandy but knowing its a Christmas cruise there will be lots and lots of children....
Any thoughts?

Thanks for the replies... Looks like I may be in luck if I hunt around :D

There doesn't seem to be a great deal of info on VOTS - I guess this is because of the recent Australian itineraries.
We have just booked for oct and looking for any insider info. I know it went into dry dock a few years back and had a few enhancements....
Reviews seem to be either really good or really bad!!!!
