Lisbon- rccl shore excursion Sintra and Cascais. Very good tour, Sintra is especially beautiful.

I booked Paragon about 2 weeks in advance. He sent me an invoice to pay on Foursquare and then sent a confirmation email once I paid the invoice.

Ibiza- Ibiza island rccl tour This tour was pretty good, got to see lots of areas of Ibiza. I think a beach tour would have been better. Barcelona-Montserrat rccl tour This tour was very good, Montserrat was beautiful. Palma de Mallorca- Valdemossa rccl tour This tour was very good, this place is very pretty.

Valencia- rccl tour Valencia and Albuferra with lunch, very boring, skip this.

I am traveling solo on the Anthem in a solo cabin, this is my 2nd RCCL cruise and my 18th overall. I was picked up at London airport by Paragon Taxis, I can’t say enough about Adian and how nice and professional he is. I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Southampton, very nice hotel. I arrived at the pier at 11:30 and was on the ship by 11:40. The rooms were ready at 1:30 and you were discouraged from leaving anything in the room before then, even if it was ready. Luggage was delivered by 4:30. I received a notice that my tour on the 2nd day in Lisbon was cancelled, as most tours were, due to a visit by the Pope. I ate in the CafeTwo70 for lunch on the 2nd day. All sandwiches are pre-made so you cannot have anything customized. And they no longer have potato chips, I asked. Cadiz- excellent rccl tour to White Villages and Countryside, very beautiful and time for shopping. Malaga- excellent rccl tour to Village of Mijas, very beautiful and time for shopping.

I’m on vacation, I will not be checking any emails. I shut Push off and select manual for emails and just dont touch them, unless I want to read them when in port. I shut off background refresh and any updates on my phone are not automatic. I have never used data “accidently” before on a cruise with my cell phone.

I will let you know how it goes for me in a few weeks. Since my cruise is 14 days long, it is cheaper for me to buy the ATT cruise ship plan and the International Day Pass (which includeds unlimited data, talk and text) as I am in ports for 9 days. I do not plan to use any data on the ship so I will not go over. I know to shut off Background Refresh for the apps, not have Data Roaming on and will not be checking email. I will only be texting (and not Imessage, as that needs data) lol

No, it drops u off at the bus station. There are taxis waiting there. Flat fee of 10 pounds to take u to hotel or pier.

When I was on the Voyager of the Seas in March, they told me that if my room service order was large, they would charge me twice. I only ordered 2 soups and 2 meals so it was only 1 fee. Has anyone else had this experience? If I was charged 2 fees, I would have went down to Guest Services, because that is not what their information states. And I do think it is BS to be charged a gratuity on the service charge.

two questions: How strict is RCCL about embarkation at Southampton? I have a 1 o'clock check in time, but since I have to leave my hotel at noon, I would arrive for 12:30. I am looking to buy an annual trip insurance policy that covers trip cancellation, etc.. The insurance store does not have annual policies that cover trip cancellation. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have called a few already, but so far I have found that the trip cancellation amount is for the policy, not the trip, so basically only covers 1 trip per year. My daughter is going on her honeymoon this weekend and would like to bring her luggage with her on the ship, as she has had a "lost" bag once for a few days. She is in the Yacht Club. I bought the insurance from our TA, who said it would satisfy P and O. Since she is authorized to sell P and O cruises to Americans, I took her word for it. When doing online check in, we were asked to give the name of our insurance company, address, phone number. No questions were asked at embarkation. I did have my policy on my phone if needed.

I am sailing on the Anthem of the Seas on July 21st. Today I was looking at some excursions that said Sold Out. Now these excursions say Check with the Shore Excursions Desk. Do they add more spaces to excursions once on board? Thank you in advance for your help.

I did a very detailed review in May, 2 Americans on the Iona, April 29th.

We did a P and O cruise in April. We had to book through a TA authorized to book those cruises as we are Americans. We bought the insurance through her. I do know that P and O lists a company on their website that you can buy insurance from that meets their requirements.

I used National Express for our cruise at the end of April, was very happy with the service.
