  1. We ate at Cagneys, Le Bistro and La Cucina on our recent cruise on the Escape, and I’d rank them best to worst in that order. The service we had at Cagneys was the best of the three and my ribeye was cooked perfectly at medium rare. The seven layer chocolate cake is also one of the best cakes I’ve ever had even though I couldn’t finish it. This was our second time eating at Le Bistro, and my meal was very good, but my wife’s special dietary needs were not fulfilled to her satisfaction this time compared to our first visit where we we were both very impressed. Our Le Bistro server was also not as good this time as our first experience. Having said that, I’ll go back to both Cagneys and Le Bistro in the future. La Cucina was a bit of a service disappointed and food disappointment. I don’t recommend their fish dishes. We’ll probably give it another try someday, but not before trying other restaurants on board.
  2. We are both right. I agree that there is a selection of wines and champagnes that are designated on the wine menu as premium plus choices that have nothing to do with the cost. I was just stating that the most expensive bottles listed as included as premium plus options that I could recall were at the $99 price point. I don’t remember the bottle cost for Veuve Cliquot since I just had glasses of it without getting a bottle. However, I noticed that the wine list someone posted for the Breakaway had Veuve priced at $99…obviously, every ships wine list is different, sometimes even for the same products.
  3. It’s bizarre, but that was my experience on the Escape recently as well. Some cheaper bottles that weren’t offered by the glass were excluded, yet many higher priced bottles were listed as included under the premium plus package. 🤷‍♂️
  4. There actually is a limit to the bottle cost in that the bottles available for purchase using the FAS+ plan are specifically indicated in the wine menu. If I recall correctly, the highest priced wines by the bottle under the FAS+ drink package on our recent cruise were $99 per bottle. If the bottles aren’t listed under the drink package, then you can buy them at a 40% discount from the menu price. For example, Dom Perignon was not available under the package, but was available by the bottle at a 40% discount from the menu price which was listed between $250 and $300 as I recall.
  5. I sent my shareholder documents in with less than 15 days remaining before our cruise date, and fully expected that I wouldn’t receive any OBC, but figured that it didn’t hurt to try. Anyway, second or third day on ship and the credit appeared in our account.
